This Bob Martin rubbish should be banned!
I used it on my bunny's neck yesterday, and i found a lump in the same spot today.
So many people said that is dangerous, but our usual 'spot on' drops were unavailable so bought this poison instead.
Never again that's for sure!

I’ve been using Bob Martin’s flea treatment for my cat and honestly, my experience has been completely fine. I didn’t notice any irritation on her skin, no unusual behaviour, and definitely no lethargy after applying it. She acted just like her normal, playful self.
I know there are quite a few negative reviews out there, but I personally think a lot of those experiences might come down to how individual cats react differently to certain medications. Just like with humans, some cats can be more sensitive or react differently, which could explain the lethargy some people mention.
Of course, every cat is different and it’s always important to monitor them after using any treatment, but in my case, I haven’t had any issues at all and would consider using it again.

Unfortunately this product did not work, flea still breeding and biting! So expensive vets visit booked instead. Obviously not the same as Frontline which in the past has always been reliable.
****EDIT 11/02/2026****
Thanks for your response. I have had cats my whole life and administered this kind of treatment many times. I am very confident I applied it properly. My vet has told me to avoid Bob Martin products as, in her words, 'they don't work'.

DON'T BUY THIS POISON! I couldn't get an appointment with my vet for a few days to get flea treatment, and couldn't wait, so bought some liquid flea treatment for my cats. I treated 2 of them and one instantly started drooling. I kept an eye on her and came on here to see the reviews. This stuff has killed loads of animals! I instantly grabbed her, took her to the bathroom and showered it off. I am now closely monitoring the other cat. I hope he's alright. The rest of the poison went straight in the bin. You can go back years and see reviews where people's pets have died after administering this, yet Bob Martin are still selling it!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS POISON!

Complete waste of money claims 1 tablet kills all fleas on body within 24 hours 48 hours later still full of fleas with no results

This brand killed my cat last year. I have been unable to check online for reviews etc until now because I’ve been so traumatised that she died as a result of me putting this disgusting flea treatment on her.
I will never get over it. It needs taking off the shelves. Please stay far, far away and do some research. I didn’t think this was needed in the UK on our shop shelves but I was wrong!

It doesn’t work. I used as per instructions and 30 hours later my medium Schnouzer is still got loads of flees. I am sorry I didn’t refer to Trust Pilot before buying this utter rubbish. For what it’s worth I shall be reporting this company and it’s product to my local trading standards office and I will issue a press release as it seems to me people must be made aware of the ineffectiveness of this rubbish. I am also now going to Sainsbury’s to demand my £11 back and I won’t leave the store without it

OMG better then the most expensive ones like frontline....... fab....
After reading the devastating reviews I am wondering if the product is being counterfeited. So heartbreaking.
I have just goggled this and yes please do the same as counterfeit flea tablets are causing death. I'm not saying this was the case via the reviews but I am saying it is a possibility.

This review is regarding Bob Martin's "Clear Plus Cat Flea & Tick" spot-on treatment.
After the purchase, I read the product packaging and included information insert — twice — then administered the product exactly as instructed.
I had assumed it had done something because my cat began behaving strangely after administration and continued to do so for a number of hours.
The product information makes the claim, in no uncertain terms, that it kills adult fleas within 24 hours.
It's now approximately 36 hours after administration and there are still fleas present in my cat's fur, not all that far from the administration site.
The product failed to deliver what it claimed. This has complicated the process of treating my cat because I now have to somehow factor a dose of this product into the equation when considering next steps.
I will not be buying this product again and suggest that anyone considering it look for alternative solutions.
EDIT: Following the reply provided by the seller, I would like to add some details to my review.
1.) At the time of using the product, I was already addressing the infestation in the house quite comprehensively.
2.) This is not the first time I have addressed a flea problem and I was not naively using this product as a "one and done" solution. It was simply the most convenient product for me to obtain at the time to make my cat more comfortable and slow the growth of the infestation.
3.) My mention of factoring the use of this product into things was related to the safe treatment of my cat and nothing else (you know, exposure to unfamiliar chemicals and all that). It was not intended to imply that using this product was the only thing I had done to address the flea problem as a whole. This was, however, the first product that I had applied directly to my cat's fur as part of addressing the problem.
4.) To be clear, I opted for a product that was specifically advertised as an effective solution to kill the adult fleas currently taking up residence in my cat's fur. It failed to do this, hence my review.
5.) A day or so after the disappointment of this product, I managed to procure the same treatment I've used in the past — and would have used initially if available to me at the time — which actually did eradicate every trace of adult fleas within my cat's fur, within 24 hours (as it does every single time) — exactly as it's advertised. I'm mentioning this to demonstrate that I know what a flea treatment product which advertises itself as effective against live adult fleas actually looks like, and Bob Martin's "Clear Plus Cat Flea & Tick" is not one of them.
With these further details considered, I would like to reiterate that this product failed to deliver — when administered as directed — the result it promised in the included reading materials. For this reason, I believe this product warrants a review that accurately reflects its efficacy at doing what it says it will do.
My recommendation is that you look elsewhere for a method to treat your cat for fleas. The availability and convenience of this product is sadly, in my experience, not matched by its ability to do the job.

Speaking directly now to any Bob Martin representatives who may be reading this:
Please don't be so fast to suggest that the dissatisfaction of your customers is the fault of your customers. It's not a good faith way of doing business, no matter how diplomatically gift-wrapped the suggestion is. It might just be that you are actually selling people inefficient, misrepresented products and they are perfectly justified in being annoyed for having placed their trust in your brand and given you their money. Considering your shining 1.4/5 rating, I'd say you have ample suggestion that maybe it's not your customers' fault.
Furthermore, perhaps I'm misguided here, but I don't agree with your final suggestion that it's my responsibility to reach out to your company directly and share my dissatisfaction with your product so that you my investigate. It appears to me that it's the responsibility of a product designer/manufacturer to do this kind of due diligence *before* you begin advertising and shipping it to the public.
Food for thought...

I would like nothing stars because this product working maybe for 2-3 days only. Very bad.
Do not buy dewormer. My poor puppy has been throwing up for over 6 hours. As soon as I told the vet which one, she said how bad they are. So dangerous!!

Gave my cat topical flea treatment, he started foaming at the mouth and we had to take him to the emergency vet. Vet cautioned us to never use these products, my poor baby nearly died don’t use them!

I only purchased the bob martin flea tablets on the 11th of June for my daughter's 2 cat's and she messaged me today the 18th to say that they are useless. You need to do something about this. I'm now having to go and buy another product helping it will work. Waste of money I'm never using this company again
