Ridiculous Beware prices
This airport has the potential to offer a very decent traveling experience, but fails dismally on almost all levels .
1. The rental car drop off is poorly marked and requires a 15 minute walk to the international terminal all outside.
2. The security checks on needlessly multiplied resulting in an irritating hour and a half of unnecessary queuing and scrutiny.
3. The airport is not air-conditioned properly and most people were overheated.
4. The food and drink outlets attempts to rip you off with beer over 13 pounds a pint and a small bottle of wine at nearly 30 pounds.
In short, this airport nearly ruined what would have otherwise been a nearly perfect five day break in Bodrum, which is an amazing destination.
Both security check points had rude staff. Drinks are more than over priced. Over £10 for a coffee and £5 for a can of sprite. Went for water that was €9. Didn't buy food but €25 for a cheeseburger. If you are a family you'll need to budget not only for your holiday but the 3 hours in the airport on your way home.
Further random security checks when you go to your gate!! Apparently requested by the uk government however this is my 5th flight this year and first time experiencing this.
Only plus side is the smoking area.
Been travelling bodrum 15 years, always the same, unorganised, one person on border control with 3/4 flights coming off. Security can take ages as so slow. Prices are a rip off, £23 for a beer, £5 for a muffin double burger and small school £25. Rip off airport!
As it was already off season, we had a very quick pass through security and check-in process was smooth. The one thing that always astonishes is how expensive everything is in the airport, €25 hamburger is beyond! A piece of piece that will also cost you €11 and neither item is delicious, the pizza wasn't even hot. Bodrum needs to do miles better.
On 28.07 2025 at approximately 10:30pm at Gate 201 EasyJet Flight no.2560, I had a very distressing experience with my 10-year-old black son at Bodrum Airport. He was singled out for a drug swab and pat-down despite being a child. He specifically asked to be searched by a male officer, but a female officer carried it out instead, telling him to “be quiet".
I was not allowed to be present with him during the search, even though he is a minor. When I attempted to discreetly record the incident for safeguarding reasons, my phone was confiscated, and I was ordered to delete the footage.
This left my son visibly upset, anxious, and humiliated. Given that no other children were searched, the way my Black son was singled out raises serious concerns about racial profiling and safeguarding standards at this airport.
Families should be aware that this was our experience at Bodrum Airport.
Bodrum'da gelen arkadaşlar Kesinlikle havaalanında bir şey yemeyin. Yoksa zehirlenirsiniz.
visiting Bodrum, definitely do not eat anything at the airport. Otherwise, you will get food poisoning
Ridiculously priced!!
Food is extortionate! Want a soggy burger? That’s €18 euros. A sorry looking slice of pizza will set you back €13.50!
If you’d like chips that’s an additional €7.50! Oh and if you’d like to wash that down with a bottle of beer which I’d need after paying those extortionate prices. That would be an additional €16.50!!
Absolute scam! Preying on the fact that at some point people with children and young families are gonna need feeding.
Even a small bottle of water cost me €3!!
This is absolutely disgrace!! And I fail to see how these prices can be justified!! Had an amazing time in Turkey, but would avoid this airport like the plague in future!
Never again will I fly into this airport. My wife and I returned to Ireland with our 4 kids and decided to get something to eat before the flight. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the prices. Approximately €17 for a burger. €15 for a small pre packed roll. €16.50 for a standard bottle of corona. The airport was packed but very few people were eating. The duty free was also extremely expensive. Avoid if you have kids or are on a budget.
FLYERS BE AWARE
1/ Queue to scan all bags immediately including getting laptops, phones out
2/ Queue for at least an hour to check bags in
3/ passport control fairly swift
4/ Free WiFi machine won’t provide code before passport control
5/ Another bag scan again to get laptop phones out
6/ Airport duty free absolute rip off along with any eateries/bars, a shot of tequila €35, no prices, food outlets charging €50 for burgers
7/ Machine dispensing soft drinks broken
8/ Free WiFi last issuing codes takes ½ plus to queue for
Just go in use the toilets, use free charging area, free water fountain by gate 202 and get the hell out of there do not encourage such extortion for nothing more than below par and nothing special !!
We have just made the mistake of ordering a beer and large Vodka and tonic at the XXX bar in Bodrum Airport and was charged £50.38. No prices advertised and only shown to us when we complained. Lawful theft and an absolute disgrace. Never again! Would be interesting to know if it is lawful not to display prices!!!
OMG ! I can’t believe it how expensive is it . One pack of cigarettes is £0.8 at local shops , on Bordum airport is £5 on duty free
This is ridiculous …
Terrible experience at Bodrum Airport. Paid an outrageous £18 for two medium decaf coffees, they didn’t show the decaf coffee price anywhere. To make matters worse, I bought a pack of almonds from duty-free only to find out later that they were 2.5 years out of date! For an international airport, you’d expect better quality and pricing—felt like a complete rip-off. Avoid if you can!
Ridiculous prices. No prices on display at bars. Bought 1 pint of local lager on draught. It cost over £19 ! Food and soft drinks equally expensive. Duty Free shop sales whisky for more than it costs in a GB supermarket.
I was sold fake champagne and prosecco of famous brands in duty free shop also not at duty free prices! Do not buy anything there.
I have read as many reviews as i could on Bodrum airport, just to make sure, it was not just me.
Yes, it is abnormally expensive, it is uncomfortable... One has to scan passport in random machine to access WIFI (safe? Hum.. Doubtful), but it is the staff that is worryingly aggressive as mentioned in other reviews, indifferent at best, sat on phone doing nothing. I had a problem with vending machine (all in Turkish) and no one would even translate what it said. That is all it would have taken to behave humanly. I have reservation about visiting Turkey again after experiencing Bodrum airport and its personal. That includes Easyjet ground personal who watched my distress as i was worried after scanning my card in vending machine. Besides the above, the airport is not pleasant anyway. A lot of work to be done there to hide "despise" of tourists. It was palpable unfortunately.
The prices are crazy in the airport. The air con was not on this in my book was to make u buy drinks. We bought two cans of coke cost £8 crazy
Lovely small airport, transfers great BUT bring your own sarnies. 16.50 euro for a burger, 189 tl for a cup of coffee which I think is about £7 50 sooo expensive, got on easyjet flight and think nearly everyone bought something to eat or drink
Excellent transfer from our hotel to the airport. Contact info on the official Bodrum Airport page. Prompt communication by Yusuf on WhatsApp, with a competitive price which was booked last minute.
The icing on the cake was we were sent a luxury van with the works inside. Driver polite and professional.
Thank you very much and highly recommended
