Firstly the installation was 5***** so…

Firstly the installation was 5***** so no issue there at all!!.... But my quote was for additional work. Outside waste, with the engineer to dig a hole and put special gravel (soak away??) so the quote was a extra £200. Ok no prob, on the day of fitting the engineer said "why Have been quoted for the extra when you have a waste stack" fine work not needed, I contacted boiler plan who said Barclay's Would have to adjust!!!!!! Barclays didn't do the video survey , fit the boiler(I've heard nothing from boiler plan since fitting ..... Now boiler plan saying its Barclays issue?? Thanks for fitting the boiler that's all 👍

Virtually impossible to speak to customer service

Firstly would like to say Guy gas engineer was brilliant thats the only good thing would like to say. So here goes booked to have boiler installed on the day no sign of anyone. Contacted boiler plan to be told they had mixed up dates. Okay these things happen but I lost a day pay through their mix up. Lodged a complaint with manager and was told I would be compensated in some way. Never happened. Constantly rang back to be told someone would be in touch, never happened. Since then have tried on numerous occasions to speak to someone as I was left no instructions for the Tado app impossible to get through. Have eventually spoken to a manager who said he would drop instructions off guess what nothing ever arrived. Tried ringing Tado and get message saying have rang outside office hours eeerm no I haven't. I now have a boiler that I don't know how to work or set timers properly and cannot get to speak to anyone. Also the fact I lost a day pay through their mistake has never been addressed. I would not recommend this company okay when you are ordering but afterwards don't want to know totally unprofessional.

Tom was brilliant. So professional!

I had a heating problem that no one could fathom....until Tom came along. What an 'extra miler'! He was so kind, considerate, thorough and totally professional. I had so much faith in him. His knowledge really impressed me! The result was first class and now I am up and running again. I cannot thank him enough. I'm a very, very satisfied customer!

The engineers make up the majority do…

The engineers make up the majority do the stars above. Installation guys were great, punctual, informative and friendly. Boiler Plan however, failed on the below.

Just before signing the papers to go ahead, we was told the install could take place the following week (within 5 working days of saying yes). As soon as we signed the papers and they got our business we was then told our installation would not be for another 16 days.

Before going ahead, we stressed the main factor was that the boiler fit in the current cupboard that housed the old boiler. We was told that it would be absolutely fine and assured it would. Got to install day, the new boiler did not fit. We were given the choice to either delay until they get one that fits, or proceed and have the boiler and pipes on show. Delay wasn’t an option due to having no hot water pressure but we was not offered any compensation for this.

On day 2 of the install, we found out that Boiler Plan had failed to book an electrician to come and wire in the new boiler. Therefore the poor installation guy who had been there since 8am, stayed until 8:15pm to temporarily wire it in so we could use it. We had no word or warning, nor apology for inconvenience when the electrician would be coming until the next day, I had a call whilst at work saying someone was on route. Fortunately there was already someone home to accommodate.

Over all, install guys were fantastic and dedicated but the overall service get a few red crosses from us unfortunately.

Very poor customer service.

The engineer phoned to say he was not sure if the boiler would fit where we wanted it. This was the day before they were supposed to fit it. I contacted the office (after a long and stressful time trying to get hold of someone.)I was told that the boiler would fit and the salesman would phone me back. He didn't. I had to call him and he also said it would fit. When the engineer arrived, he explained why it would not fit. Therefore the fitting did not happen. I eventually got through to the office after various calls and e-mails, to get a refund It was promised for 3>4 working days. Has not happened yet and again there is no one to take calls in the office. Watch this space....

Unfortunately we have had an absolutely awful experience with boiler plan. To begin with, the customer service was great. They were quick to reply and gave us the info we needed to make the decision to go with them. This was pretty short lived as once they had received our deposit the customer service was pretty poor. They told us our fitting would be the following week. After not hearing from them the whole of that week we then contacted them (absolutely no contact from their side) they then told us it wouldn’t be until the next week as they needed to find a fitter for our area. This would’ve been fine if they had actually got in contact with us to update us as we thought we had then been scammed. The guy who fitted our boiler was ok. He did the job and left after 2 days. No problem.. or so we thought. The night he left we found that our shower would not mix the hot and cold water so was unable to have a shower. We rang our fitter the next day as he said to call if we had any problems and we was greeted with ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with it, I’ve put in everything correctly’. We then rang boiler plan who told us it was probably because the shower was not compatible with the new boiler so we went out to buy a new shower. After having another plumber come and fit our new shower, he found that our pipes had been put on the wrong way round and there was nothing wrong with the shower whatsoever. We tried to contact boiler plan so that someone could come and fix it. They referred us to a manager called Dave and he called to say they were going to send out an engineer but it has now been another 2 weeks and we have heard absolutely nothing. Poor communication and poor customer service- very unhappy!

**EDIT**

Since Dave has joined boiler plan, he has been quick to get in contact with us to sort out our problems. It was clear that he had read our review in some detail and spoke through it with us in a friendly but professional way. He was quick and efficient in getting someone out at a time that was convenient for us. Tom came to us today and within 30 minutes had swapped the pipes around and the job was done. He was very enthusiastic and was also quick to apologise on the companies behalf. Dave is clearly a huge improvement to boiler plan. We will be upping the stars on the review to reflect his and Tom’s service. Thanks for getting it sorted!

BOILER PLAN ENGINEERS

On August 18th, we had two Boiler Plan engineers fit our brand new Valiant Boiler. Wow! The guys were superb, very professional. They just got on with the job and completed it with one day. They should be the face of Boiler Plan. They deserve a pay increase. I do not have one negative to say about them. They were early, they were just brilliant!

Fantastic job

Two workers turned up early and got stuck into the job. Considering what they had to do (conversion) it was carried out with the minimum of fuss. They were very respectful and cleaned up after themselves and finished the job in a day which was fantastic. We have had a follow up call to ensure everything is working ok. Would definitely recommend without hesitation.

Joker's of a company

My family recieved a terrible service from this company from start to not even finished now. To start with the man who gave us our quotation wasn't very professional. Followed by installation team who can't bring a job together and kept calling to change installation date. Making us loose time from work. The best were the gang of cowboy's they sent to fit the boiler which wasn't cheap. Upon my arrival back home from work as l couldn't loose anymore time from work. I was met by three men not boiler plan employees but sub contractors. To be told they were sorry they had to leave me with a leak on my newly installed boiler. I wasn't happy so told them I would be reporting this. They left leaving me which I later found out was three leaks one which they had taped up (joke). I had to clean all the carpet as the had dripped some sort of filthy radiator water all over the landing. The next day a boiler plan employee came called Tom fantastic Man. Put the cowboys issues right. Only for me to find when the cowboys removed my old boiler they scratched my new front door. I'm still left with this on going issue has they have said that I need to let the cowboys they sent in resolve this. Best joke of all they couldn't fit the boiler properly why would I let them loose on my door. 😂😂😂. I was steered to this company via domestic and general this was the worst dessision we made. My advice go with someone you know and trust. These people are not fit for purpose. My issue started 30/7/21 they took two weeks to sort fitting I'm still left with scaffolding. And my door to this day. 17/8/21. After care a minus score.

I booked an online boiler replacement…

I booked an online boiler replacement and was quoted £2391 for a Worcester boiler. I paid £100 deposit.
I later received a phone call that the cost will actually be £2691. I had an argument with different people in the team and now fighting for my £100 deposit refund I paid in advance.
Worst thing is I didn't even get an email receipt after completing the purchase on their website. So I only have my credit card statement at the minute as a proof.
Really disappointed!!!

They should respect the binding agreement and don't leave there website in a broken state where its giving misleading quotes.

TOTAL SCAM EVERYONE.

TOTAL SCAM EVERYONE.
I HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH TWO FULL TANKS OF WATER IN THE LOFT - DISCONNECTED THAT HAVE LEAKED THROUGHT THE CAVITY WALLS OF FIRST AND GROUND FLOOR OVER NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE STUPIDTY AND incompetence of their engineer.

Reported the fault and the several unfinished jobs (agreed by written statement with them prior to the job commencing) with the office first, then the area manager Lee Wright and ultimately with the finance director Chris Alete (love his power) and they all were very patronising and condescending, gave me lots of political speeches, promising this and that and after the first installation took place – Nov 2018 – and after asking the last time I have asked for these jobs to be completed (Nov 2020) I am still waiting for the job to be done.

They are a bunch of cowboys, they caused the following damages:

1- Water damp treatment on the walls from the loft all the way down to the ground floor.
2- Downstairs landing, living room and dinner room ceilings to be treated for water leakage and then re-painted.
3- Exposed copper pipes left in the garage which should have been insulated that have started to corrode after few months only
4- Damages for over £1,000 to personal belonging in the garage caused by the water leaks from the actual boiler left untreated overnight by the idiot sent to replace the boiler.
5- Over ten electric toys damaged beyond repair again caused by the water leak in the garage.

Guess what the only cared about, their bloody satisfactory sheet so that they could brush this negligence under the carpet as clearly, they used to and claim another job done for their own stats, absolutely pathetic, incompetent, unprofessional, skills less and without any concerns and respect for people homes and belongings.
Job carried out without and due diligence or any knowledge relating to any aspects of the job, from basic plumbing to welding, from respecting people property to dispose of any materials that was thrown on my lawn for days; the engineer that came to my house to install – so they say – the new boiler used his own pals to come and collect some copper pipes and the water cylinder he removed so that they could sell it on the side to make extra money.

Absolutely con artists.

Very Impressed

Unfortunately the survey did not go to plan because the surveyor was unable to attend, so we were asked to send photos. However, the photos did not give the full picture so there were a couple of problems encountered on the installation day. However Tim the engineer was absolutely brilliant and it was clear that he knew exactly what to do. We were going from a normal boiler to a combi boiler so there was a lot of work involved having to take out the old tanks from the loft and the hot water cylinder and all of the associated pipe work etc. They arrived promptly at 8am on a Saturday morning and they were all finished and cleared away by 3pm.
We were very impressed and would highly recommend them.
