Sorry to hear you were disappointed. Unfortunately, the nature of your design (because of the way it curves) meant there were some logistical issues, which is why there may have been some small gaps (I see one in the photo -- although, despite that, though, the design looked like it came out great (and I love the color combo between the thread and hat)).
As for the crease or kink, that should fold out.
