Terrible Shipping, Terrible Customer Service, Okay Collar

I ordered a collar for one of my partners and, to make a long story short, it arrived more than a month late and I was treated rudely (and straight up lied to) by the customer service rep that I reached out to. The collar itself is okay and seems durable, but about as scuffed as another collar I've had for years. Even for the $30 I paid for this, it ain't worth it.

The longer version is that I ordered this collar almost 3 weeks before Christmas (when I wanted to give it to my partner), and it didn't come. We figured that this was probably just normal holiday shipping delays and due to the "standard shipping" Bondage Couture uses (they don't offer you any other shipping options).

About two weeks after Christmas, I emailed them asking what was going on. I gave them my order number and told them that it had been more than a month since I made the purchase and got a confirmation email, and asked multiple questions. They replied with:

"Hello. it's shipping out today."

That was it. No other information, no tracking number, none of my questions answered. Not even a quick apology saying sorry for the delay. I sent another email asking for a tracking number again, and they said they sent me one. I checked, they had about 20 minutes before my second email, so I shrugged and looked forward to finally getting it.

It turns out that they lied to me. They had merely created a USPS shipping label and didn't actually get the product to USPS for another two days. Once the product was actually with USPS, I got it pretty fast.

The only positive thing I can say is that this company is not a complete scam and that the collar fits, looks like the photo, and seems decently put together. However, it's also pretty frayed. I can take a string of the "leather" collar and pull it off in a few spots. It's got far more scratches and scuffs than any new collar I've ever bought before. If I knew nothing about it, and someone asked me to guess how old it was, I'd say it's 2-3 years old and has been used a lot for pretty rough play.

So overall, this thing is barely worth the $30 I paid for it. It's definitely not worth the rude customer service rep who lied to me about shipping, and it's not worth the disappointment of my partner when she didn't get her collar for weeks on end. I don't know if my experience is typically, but personally, I'm never going to use this company again and I would advise anyone else to avoid them.
