I just rejoined the academy for a second year because I finally feel like I've found my tribe of Artists. I was adrift for 24 years not doing any art because of a painful association with my art and domestic violence. Last June of 2024 I decided to try one of Bonny's Live Draw a-longs. During the first break I was giddy with excitement when I realized I could still draw after 24 years of silence!! Bonny has been the most accessible art teacher I've ever seen. Her team is amazing and very responsive to any questions I've had. I feel like my heart is now complete as I dive in to her clear and honest tutorials in the Academy. Her decision to add expert artists who do florals or other subjects really helps stretch my abilities..Honestly every penny I spent has been so very worth it because I invested in me..I've got 24 years of art to catch up on and I'm loving every minute!!

Bonny Snowdon is an amazing, down to earth teacher. She genuinely wants the best for her memebers and works hard to provide fantastic content and a friendly, lively, kind membership space. I have grown as an artist in skill and confidence.

I started with Bonny 9 years ago when she was afraid to start. I remember telling her that she was better than anyone else on the internet and she has proved me right. She doesn't cut corners or do things to get the job done fast. She teaches you how to paint with color pencils. I will be a student until I can't pick up a pencil. I am 78 now.

I joined Ignite in May 2024. I thought it would be fun to try Colored Pencil Week. I was so wonderfully surprised at what I learned in that one week I just had to join. I am so pleased with my progress. All the different aspects of colored pencils that is available is well worth the membership. From the tutorials, confidence sessions, business help and extra live sessions make for a wonderful experience.

When I started the Academy I had doubts that I would be able to create CP art like Bonny or any of the other students. I have been greatly surprised by tutorials and how Bonny teaches. She teaches and explains very easily for students to understand why she is doing something. I just love the Academy, tutorials and Bonny! Bonny and her team always make sure we have all the information right at our fingertips. The tutorials are expansive and take you on little journeys in her life while teaching you so many things. It’s like sitting and have a tea, while drawing, with a friend. I’ve been a member since 2020 and have felt it worth every penny!

I have been an oil portrait artist since high school; one day I saw Bonnie’s drawings and thought to myself, I want to learn this medium. I had dabbled with graphite but never colored pencils. The difference in my drawings; I could not imagine I would be able to draw this well in a relatively short time. Bonnie is honest, positive, spiritual and her love of drawing comes through in her tutorials. Her website is as awesome as she is; I’ve been a member for 3 years and plan to stay a long time!

Always been someone who's put off joining things online for the fear of failure or something just not being worth the money. Ignite with Bonny has just improved my confidence not just in my art but everyday life. I couldn't imagine life without Ignite now. I have dabbled in art since I was a small child using many mediums. I was praised by adults about my talent. I didn’t think that I was all that great, I just did what came naturally. I carried on throughout my teen years and dabbled as an adult. It wasn’t until about a year ago that I became more serious and wanted to spend more time learning different techniques. I took a few classes using coloured pencil. Some were very good, but the last class that I took, her teaching methods were extremely frustrating, I couldn’t complete the course. It was one that was all about following exactly what she did with no explanation as to why except, “ Do this, it’s easy!”. She would carry on not finishing what she started but would expect the student to carry on without her until the next phase of the drawing. There was no professionalism at all. ZERO. It wasn’t until I decided to go it alone. When I came upon Bonny while watching YouTube videos, my interest picked up tremendously. She was exactly what I was looking for. It was Lisa Denny, the wife of a friend of a friend through Facebook that asked me if I’d heard of Bonny Snowdon. Well that was it!! I joined up and here I am today almost six months later. I am loving it. Bonny’s way of instruction isn’t in any way at all like what I had experienced previously. She truly is a natural, a coloured pencil master. She’s patient and kind and has a lot of knowledge and advice for budding artists. I will be part of her artist family for many years to come!!
