A Terrible Experience – Avoid Bookandroom!
As a foreigner living in France and in need of accommodation for my internship in Spain, I turned to Idealista to reserve a place. Unfortunately, I discovered that Bookandroom are nothing but blatant fraudsters. Due to the urgency of my situation, I did not take the time to check reviews beforehand.
I was in contact with a representative named Oriana, who managed my case and directed me to a certain Angela for the room visit. However, the common areas were in a deplorable state – the kitchen and the shower were filthy. Strangely, Angela did not show me these areas, fully aware of their condition. Instead, she only allowed me to view the room after taking €50 from me.
I stayed for 2 months and 10 days and was forced to pay the full rent for August. When it came time to refund my deposit, I only received €130 out of the €320 I initially paid, with the excuse that I owed rent and there were additional repair costs. Despite sending all receipts for the rent along with videos and images of the room's condition, I received no further response from them. I was informed that the accounting department, managed by Ivan and Jonathan, was unresponsive.
I even reached out on their LinkedIn account to report my issues, but it feels futile as I see similar negative comments from others. Since Trustpilot does not allow interactions with other reviewers, I would like to know how we can collectively take action against these fraudsters.
Be cautious if you're considering using their services!
