Absolutely useless website for…

Absolutely useless website for confirming your address. Kept putting the marker miles from my address and couldn't move the map successfully. Gone elsewhere for my order without going through this nonsense.

Not sure why you had issues with the map Keith, it is powered by Google rather than us and it's working fine our side. I guess it's a device or browser issue. As long as the delivery address is fully and correctly entered that is the most important thing.

Double payment taken

I am still without my item, and received an email saying I needed to pay for it as my payment had not gone through, when I went to their system sure enough, the item was still in the basket...assuming my error I paid again, only to see my payment had been taken the day previous, so I had been charged twice.

A week on I have had no resolution and have received no update to say the book is on the way.

So currently have paid almost £45 including 2 lots of postage dor a book I dont have

I reviewed a reply to say publicly they could see.it was being dealt with...privately fireplace to my.emails chasing my refunded double payment...and no way to respond ro the public reply.

A company that has my money should be doing all ot xan tp sprt that out. Not focusing on public responses

And again your responde is wrong

I have shown how you took the money, returned 10% to my account then asked ne to make a separate payment to pay for it

Maybe check my private replies before rushing here

I have evidenced 3 transactions...2 taken for over £20, 1 refunded for £2.47

So do look again and wait for replies before responding here

Update 13/12/25...Emma we have provided updates here as you decided to post this publicly so of course we should also reply here too. We needed time to investigate this properly with the payment providers and this has taken a few days. We have emailed you yesterday confirming that you were not in fact charged twice as one of your payments failed hence the item remained in your basket. We have provided you with a screenshot showing the failed payment. If you have further doubts then please contact your card issuer. Thank you again for your patience whilst we investigated this.

Update...Thanks for your order details Emma. The book you ordered arrived into our warehouse today as per the timeline advised on our website and it will be dispatched to you tomorrow by Royal Mail so you will receive it by the end of the week. I see that Amanda in our CS team has been communicating with you about resolving the double payment issue and she is working with the finance team to sort this out for you and she will reply to you asap on that. Thank you for your patience.

There was a problem with my delivery

There was a problem with my delivery, and the parcel was returned to them. I have contacted them to ask for them to resend, but have received no acknowledgement of my email and no advise as to whether they will refund or resend. I have emailed them again today and will update when and if I hear from them

I was looking for a book store that can deliver to my country , and I came across bookdelivey, good prices of books and delivery fee, I was very skeptical , but after ordering, the books arrived quickly, well packed and good condition, I will definitely order again and already recommend to friends.

Great Service

Took a couple of weeks because I live abroad but that's to be expected. It was quite an unusual book to get hold of but they actually had a copy. Turned up and it's indistinguishable from a new copy. Very happy customer 🙏

Bad decision to go with Bookdelivery....

Ordered a Paperblanks hardback notebook as a gift, at which I thought was a reasonable price. The notebook arrived damaged - it was warped and bent in the middle and being a hardback notebook it just won't straighten.
Contacted Bookdelivery via my account and requested a refund. I received an email in Spanish, which I had to translate using an app, which basically acknowledged my request. Received a 2nd email, this time in English stating my refund request was accepted and the customer services agent assigned to my case would provide me the details of the warehouse I needed to return the damaged notebook to, to receive my refund. I did not receive an address or return label, there was also no way of replying to the email asking for the information I needed as it was sent from a 'no-reply' email address.
I submitted another enquiring via my Bookdelivery account requesting information on how to return the item but still no reply.
Now I am left with a damaged item and can't receive a refund until I return the item but no one seems be able to tell where to return the item or provide me with a returns label.
I shop online a lot and this is the first time I have experienced such poor customer service. There is also no customer service email or contact number to follow up any enquires.
This was my first order from Bookdelivery, I wish I had just paid a bit extra and bought the item locally, the saving is really not worth this poor service and hassle!!

Bookdelivery - yes, thank you, I have now received the Royal Mail return label. However, in response to your last post stating that the delay was due to the pictures having to be reviewed for the refund to be authorised, I don’t believe this is correct. Soon after I sent through the pictures I was informed that the refund request had been authorised. The problem was that no information about the return or return label was provided. Now that I have this, I will return the damaged item and hope the refund I’ll be issued quickly.

They do this as quickly as possible during working hours, excluding weekends. A Great Find !

Great choice of books that appealed to me, the price was excellent & delivery was exactly as stated.
After trying the normal online sellers for a couple of books I was after, I decided to Google the titles.
Very glad I did BOOKdelivery had both listed on the website at very keen prices, delivery was great & well packed. Well worth trying these folks, I'll be returning.

Excellent service

Excellent service from this company. Very rare I have to step out of the Amazon sphere, but I've just obtained 2 books in quick succession (unrelated) from Bookdelivery. Both from Spain but one cheaper than Amazon and partners (who wanted to charge delivery even though I'm Prime), the other not obtainable there.

Only thing is you have to wait a week or so but delivery is free and that's only to be expected

Cancellation without warning

My order was accepted and the company said they had identified a seller. Money was taken from my account, but then the order was abruptly cancelled without any explanation.
Apparently, my money will be returned, but this is very poor service, bordering on deceitful - they clearly did not have a provider for the book ordered.

Hi SB, sorry for any disappointment, Book Delivery offers more than 13 million titles for sale. Some of these books are held in stock in 1 (or more) of our 10 warehouses around the globe. For the rest of the books, we use a virtual inventory system, meaning we only move stock when necessary, reducing unnecessary shipping and storage. We take stock feeds from all of our suppliers around the world every day with the aim of ensuring we show customers the latest information of what can be ordered from us. Sometimes books can sell out between the time of ordering and vendors fulfilling the book to us, in those cases we try to find alternate suppliers but if that is not possible we work quickly to inform customers and provide refunds.

Bookdelivery offers lower prices

Bookdelivery offers prices less than Amazon, even including postage. I think this is done by not having a large book inventory close you. If you are happy to wait a couple of weeks for a delivery use Bookdelivery. Service I good and the delivered product is in good condition. I have used Bookdelivery multiple times.

Some kind of scam

Some kind of scam - bought a book, refunded with no explanation as it's still available on the website. Emailed with them, assured me I could reorder, they had 17 in stock and now just had the same thing again. Waste of time. Avoid.

For the reply from them below, this happened twice, the second order was made when 'jeremy' assured me there were 17 in stock and actually I haven't had my refund yet. They clearly don't know their arse from their elbow- AVOID

Hi Laura, I am mystified as to why you think this would be a scam as we refunded you without delay so we wouldn't be making any money if it were a scam! Jeremy in our customer service team apologized to you for the inconvenience and explained this issue was caused by an error on the part of the supplier. We make every effort we can to keep our stock information as accurate as possible, but as with any supply chain occasional discrepancies can happen which I hope can be understood. Even large companies, like Amazon, can have out of stock/refund situations at times.
