I could not have chosen a place more suited to my needs. Quiet when required but with many options for recreation and leisure including excursions, diving, kayaking and of course Yoga. Amazing and healthy food every day.
Before going I have checked and I read two out of 70 non so-positive reviews so I was skeptical but I decided to go and that was the perfect experience I was expecting. I will definetely come back. My reccomendation for those who are going there, please take good, clean and positive energy with you and leave your negativity behind

Finding the information about the retreat was straight forward there was lots of info. Booking I struggled with. Both on the WhatsApp and on my laptop finally was able to book on my phone. Problem was with it timing out at the place i needed to proceed. It was frustrating but i knew it would finally work and it did. I'm not sure if this has happened to anyone else it could have been a one off as I say I'm not sure. However am now looking forward to my retreat in June.

Book Retreats is a platform and is unable to hold hosts accountable for inappropriate behavior.
When I reached out for support from Book Retreats, despite my comprehensive evidence, their solution was to refund me the 17% that I had paid directly to them, but gave me absolutely no recourse to be refunded the remaining $2.3K that I had paid for my teacher training. They are not holding this host accountable for unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I used this site for the protection their verbiage claims to provide, and was not given clear direction or support on how to proceed when I first started noticing red flags and reached out for assistance.
The host changes included:
1. Training location moved from a studio to a public pool and co-working space at a hotel
2. Ableist teacher questioned my yoga practice and request for props, which are foundational to Yin Yoga
3. "Meals provided" was 2 meals a day that did not include the promised balance of legumes, starch and vegetable
4. Class size was supposed to be a minimum of 2 and was not canceled when no one else signed up
5. No refund for the additional night I pre-paid for and gave 40 days notice would not need
6. Host required I sign a contract 2 months after I paid in full giving them the right to remove me from the program at their discretion with no refund
7. Accommodation changed from hotel to an apartment, which had mold, a broken tv, a full length window in the shower visible from the public hallway, hot water ran out after 5 minutes, no deadbolt, stains on the walls, couch pillows and curtains, and no front desk or on-site security, which as a single-female traveler is critical for safety.
My initial concerns did not seem sufficient to cancel the retreat per the intimidating, undisclosed contract that I was required to sign. Because of the host's history of positive reviews, and a hope that I was misunderstanding where the classes would be held, I did attend the first night of classes.
As recommended by Book Retreats, I met with the host on the following morning to discuss my concerns and issues and to give her the opportunity to fix the problems.
I was "on site" for ~17 hours (out of 96 hrs), most of which were spent sleeping. Without having done this, I would not have known about issues 1, 2 & 7. Because the US Department of Homeland Security had issued a Shelter in Place order to US-citizens abroad (22 Feb 2026), I was unable to change my accommodation the first night. Due to the lack of clarity on how to handle this situation from Book Retreats, I did eat the partial meals that were provided, but this does not address the fact that they were half meals (not the agreed balance of vegetables, starch and protein) and that I had to pay for service fees.

Terrible experience.
After confirmed and paid deposit. I booked flight and took days off. Very excited to go. Two day before departure. They canceled on us due to their own financial situation to run the retreat. They gave nothing and no voucher but an email apology.
The platform did nothing at all despite my email of complaint to them.
Turned to Bookyogaretreat to book other vacation. Everything went so well.
Very disappointed about this platform.
Especially how they handled after the crisis. Terrible. It gave me so much financial loss and stress.

The booking experience was fairly good. I prefer speaking with someone as opposed to typing. I do not know if we are getting a room with 2 beds and a bath. That is important to me if it is available. I am sure it will all work out.

I wanted to find a retreat for my after the school year vacation, and needed something meaningful to do. There were so many options, I was spoiled for choice. Luvkily, I was able to chat with Chris, who found perfect options for me quickly. I am looking forward to starting my my summer break the best way possible after getting the right help.

Easy to flow through the process of booking and I appreciate the bonus gifts when booking through this site versus others. Took down all the information needed without having to provide additional on other sites.
