Gives your phone number to scammers
Short version: I literally have zero connection to Asia and this is the only site I've given my phone number to in a very long time. Less than a week after giving them my info I start getting scams aimed at Chinese living overseas - at least two auto calls per day for months. Coincidence? I think not.
Long version: I'm a westerner with no relation to Taiwan. Signed up for this site to buy something and its been constant scam calls from July to now (November). Someone working there is giving overseas account sign up info to directly to scammers.
I created an account in mid July because I wanted to import a CD as a gift (and you need an account to preview the checkout price.) Within a week I started getting robocalls from random fake caller ID cell phone numbers in my country, voice messages in Chinese pretending to be my local government needing urgent missing personal info to stop me being deported (back to Taiwan!?) Telling me to press 1 to be connected to an agent.
Don't give your personal info to this site. If you can buy somewhere else even if it costs more its worth it.
