I had a wonderful time @Sambodhi. The YogaClass in the morning and evening was super. Molies food very good. The time together so nice!! It was very special for me. The whole team is so great and I appreciate them all. Beautiful plants, beautiful house, wonderful quiet beach, squirrels...beauty. I was sad when I had to leave. Planned was a 10Days retreat. I extended 2more days because I love this place so much. I've felt like home and very welcomed. I will come back again. ❤️

I had issues with my 300 hours Kundalini TTC , because many things didn’t take place as mentioned in the program and Bookyogaretreats team supported and guided me in filling up the complane and having a refund. Thanks a lot guys for helping me in this unpleasant situation

Yes I didn't get there because of flights to Bali was cancelled by the war. But I got so many friendly and nice Mail from them so when everything will be open again I will for sure come to the center. They seem to care about you

I had an enquiry, which worried me a little, as my trip was in a few days. I emailed and had a prompt reply, which was resolved within the hour. Also, the tone of the email was supportive and caring, understanding my concern, thank you

Completely misleading description of 'Retreat' in Sidmouth so beware. Massive disappointment. Sessions were not bespoke in any way, no attention was given to our needs, not even a quick chat, we were just booked into local classes. There was no reference to us at all - website says 'Tailored' - total nonsense. Fortunately the Hotel, the Elizabeth, was great with lovely staff - but that's not what we went for!. Tripaneer and BookYogasRetreats fobbed us off when we pointed out that the 'retreat' was mis sold, so obviously they don't care what they sell and this problem may apply to other retreats on the site. Don't fall for the blurb or at least double check what it means as it just wasn't honest at all. I asked if they or the provider 'OceanWellnessHub' were members of any professional or regulatory bodies and they couldn't answer - so that's a bit of a problem in itself. Will never use them again.

Found an incredible yoga retreat using this site!

Completing the reservation I wanted to make took a while due to technical problems. But the support team reacted quickly and was very helpful with solving the problem.

I had a really bad experience with a retreat teacher I booked being very rude and demanding payment in a manner that made me not feel comfortable going there just a week before the trip. I contacted book yoga customer service and they handled it extremely well and were responsive and professional, offered me options and refunded the non refundable deposit due to the circumstances. I would definitely book through this company again just not the Casa Chakras retreat in Cozumel!

I had an absolutely incredible time at this yoga retreat! The atmosphere was amazing, filled with wonderful, like-minded people, and the sightseeing tours were absolutely stunning. I felt so refreshed and inspired by every moment. I can’t recommend it enough!

BookYogaRetreats platform did not work, so I was not able to pay the deposit. I wrote and told that I would come late at night the next day (after many trials with the payment). I asked them to give me their phone number so I could call them if I did not find the place or anything since I travelled alone and would arrive late.
On the airport I got the answer: "Without the deposit payed, we are not allowed to give you any contact information outside this platform".
I wrote and said that I was on my way, the flight soon taking off, assuring them that I would come, and saying that it gave a lot of disstress not knowing if I had my retreat or not after having bought very expensive flights.

With some delay form the air company I arrived close to midnight. There was NOONE there. I had no phone number, they had not answered my last mail that I sent 12 hours earlier, I could only ring at the bell at the gate again and again and shout, but nothing happened.

I was alone abroad in the middle of nowhere. I can not understand how it is possible to treat a person like this.

The yoga retreat I was supposed to participate in, has written me and said that they had no idea that I was coming!!! What an extreme lack of communicationg and logistic. What a huge amount of carelessness.

I had to go to the hotel possible – a very expensive one, and I had no wish to stay at a place where people treat me like that. So the whole, expensive holiday became something very, very different than planned.

BookYogaRetreats take no responsibility for their own platform not working, no responsibility for eager participants that guarantee to come the next day (if I asked them to reserve for a month, I can understand, but from I wrote them from the airport the morning in the morning til the evening the same day!!

I am apalled. This is below any standard I´ve seen so far.

6-Day Yoga & Hiking Retreat at Villa Pranayama – Bliss Yoga Retreat

I spent six wonderful days at the Bliss Yoga Retreat (27.01–01.02.2026), and from the very first moment the atmosphere felt welcoming and positive.

The Villa & Accommodation
Villa Pranayama truly feels like a home. I stayed in a shared three-person room, which was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to keep personal space without feeling crowded. The heated pool was a lovely bonus for this time of year. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully prepared.

The Program & Daily Rhythm
The structure of the days was beautifully balanced — active yet relaxed. Mornings began with yoga, followed by a healthy and nourishing breakfast. Afternoons were dedicated to scenic hikes and beach time, and evenings ended with a delicious three-course dinner (often with wine), creating a perfect sense of completion to the day. The rhythm allowed us to move, breathe, rest, and truly disconnect from daily stress.

The People & Atmosphere
What stood out most was the genuine care and attention to detail. Dominic is a wonderful host, and the whole team worked in harmony to make everyone feel comfortable and supported. Even the villa’s mascot, Carl the little dog, added warmth to the experience. I also met beautiful souls during the retreat — connections I hope to keep beyond this trip.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bliss Yoga Retreat to anyone looking to practice yoga daily, enjoy healthy food, explore nature, and feel truly cared for in a peaceful and inspiring environment.

I accidently double booked and the staff at De Moksha were very accommodating! Great customer service :)

I haven't been on one of their yoga retreats as yet but have found the customer service to be excellent.
Really quick in answering my queries about their retreats and dietary preferences etc.

Really disappointed with this greedy company. I had to cancel my retreat due to a late back injury and whilst they supposedly charge up to 15% of the retreat cost on their commission, the initial deposit is about 30%. In this instance they have refused to return any funds to me at all, even though the retreat organiser, who may have incurred some loss at my absence, was happy to fully refund me :(. Try to go direct to the retreat organiser in future!

They make no explanation of why they need these funds- everyone else refunded, the flight, the hotel and diving I was going to do, but not this greedy company. And offering a reuse after a medical issue within a certain time frame is no help at all. I had an ankle fracture 2 years ago the day before a trip and it took a year to mend properly so I could not use the deposit and now I may be advised not to do yoga again as my back issue was caused by yoga before the trip. Why are you keeping my money?

I needed to change the date of my reservation for a yoga retreat and contacted the support, because no one could take care of my cat. They were very caring and efficient and accepted to change the scheduled date though it was all my fault. The answer was quick, human and very understanding. My English is poor as I am French so I received the answer both in French and English. It's really impressive !

I have had a very good experience in that school with the practises of yoga meditation the theory teachers are very good I recommend it

horrible customer service. i have asked for help multiple times and i receive bot generated replies signed by different "customer service representatives". never again! the only recourse i have is through the CC company! DO NOT USE BOOKYOGARETREAT.COM

I was in direct communication with a representative named Soniya from Ekant Yoga regarding logistics. Shortly before the retreat start date, I was unexpectedly informed that I was confirmed for a 50-hour Yoga Teacher Training course, which I never booked. After I raised concern, Soniya acknowledged this as a mistake and reconfirmed the Koh Samui retreat.

However, I was then informed that:

The Koh Samui retreat allegedly had insufficient participants

Ekant Yoga intended to combine my retreat with a different 50-hour YTT in Koh Phangan, at a different venue

Remaining payment of EUR 840 was requested via bank wire to a different business name: Diksha Yoga, which was described as a “sister school” used for tax purposes

Despite my reservations, I completed the wire transfer as instructed. When Ekant Yoga later insisted on changing the retreat location and format, I declined and requested a cancellation and full refund. Soniya explicitly agreed in writing to a full refund.

It has now been over three weeks, and:

I have not received my refund

Ekant Yoga is now claiming they never received my wire transfer

I have bank confirmation from Bank of America proving the transfer was completed

Ekant Yoga continues to request additional information while providing no evidence of refund processing

Additionally:

I contacted Wonderland Center in Koh Phangan, where the alleged 50-hour YTT was supposed to take place

Wonderland confirmed in writing that they do not know or work with Ekant Yoga

This raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of Ekant Yoga’s claims and advertised retreats

I am deeply concerned that:

Ekant Yoga may be operating under multiple business names

Retreats may be advertised without confirmed venues

Participants are being pressured to wire funds directly to third-party accounts

Refund commitments are not being honored

Given that this organizer is listed on your platform, I expect BookYogaRetreats to investigate Ekant Yoga and Diksha Yoga immediately, review their vetting status, and assist in resolving my refund. I am also preparing to report this matter to Yoga Alliance and relevant consumer protection authorities.

I have a complete record of emails, WhatsApp messages, wire transfer receipts, and venue confirmations, and I am prepared to provide all documentation upon request.

Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise on next steps
