Really happy with the description of the retreat I recently went to. Website is easy to use. Helpful and prompting.

Really terrible company, avoid. I booked and paid for a retreat through them. Before booking I had confirmed with the retreat what would be included in the package. The whole conversation is fully documented on their site.
The retreat decided to reduce the package without any discussion just a few days before I arrived, removing half of the one to one sessions which for me were the crucial to the work I did in this retreat being something I continued with. They stated it was for my own safety and came after a fitness assessment. Except the retreat had never conducted an assessment of me (again documented) and they had never said any of the package was subject to an assessment. Not only this but we had never been specific how the one to one training would be spent and there were many ways that time could have been spent - I had presumed a lot of it was discussions, pointers etc and not just more high-impact training.
I objected to the package being reduced and questioned why it was. The owner decided to cancel my booking 1 day before I flew to another continent for the retreat. BookYogaRetreats/Tripaneer are allowing them to do this without any compensation for my flights, time I have booked off or any other inconveniece they have caused. They let the retreat owner decide if I should be compensated even though their terms state that the owner should cover all costs should they cancel a retreat.
I am having to now take legal action against them in the Netherlands. Luckily. I have everything well documented. If you do decide to risk booking with them make sure you document every conversation by email and make sure you have a full agreement on what your package includes before you book.
This is all happening the day before I am meant to travel and they were also still really slow to get back to me. So stressful.

I found the site easy to use and I was able to contact the retreat through the site. Everything I booked online, I received on my holiday

First time to use Tripaneer. I find the efficiency especially to travel and Yoga Retreat options from the app. The organizer has great service and prompt to answer my concern. Highly recommended.

I've booked several yoga retreat trips over the years... several times to Spain, and most recently to Bali. Easy to use platform, lots of options, the reviews give you confidence in what you're booking. Just booked to go to Bali. I'd highly recommend.

Defo take this journey if you wish to rest and revive in an atmosphere of kindness and calm. From the start to finish the ethos was one of caring support and all the team were professional but real. There is a special thing about this place which is hard to put a finger on but there is certainly some magic going on at Plantation!

I booked a last minute stay here and traveled alone. I was apprehensive about doing this, however the minute i met Mikael I instantly felt relaxed. He picked me up from my hotel and took me to the villa. When i arrived i met the rest of the group on the retreat who were also there alone, they were so welcoming, I instantly felt at home.
The yoga was relaxing in the morning and more energetic in the evening, a perfect balance.
The food was absolutely delicious and the cooking class with mikael was a lovely addition and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mikael gave me a free upgrade into a beautiful apartment with a stunning view across Sitges.
Nothing was too much trouble and my stay was 5*
Overall i had a fantastic time, my only regret was not staying longer. I will definitely be back.

After an issue with the retreat I booked, "bookyogaretreats" took the time to navigate the problem and solve it.

Consumers beware of retreat programs advertised on BookYogaRetreat.com website. I learnt the hard, expensive way, that the programs they advertise are not verified for authenticity. I signed up and attended the 7-day Yoga, Detox and Juice cleanse Retreat in Brasilia, Brazil. After having travelled there from the USA, I discovered to my horror that this 7-day yoga, detox and juice cleanse was an absolute farce.
1. There was absolutely no structure. Even though I was given a program, the program was not followed. As I was the only one doing the program, I had to constantly request for even one meditation session a day (let alone the 3 advertised in the program). Similarly with the yoga class. There was no inspirational talks on food, healthy living or theory classes. I had to constantly ask for classes and she obliged once when another guest came in for 2 days. I WAS TREATED AS AN INCONVENIENCE THAT HAD TO BE ACCOMMODATED/ FITTED INTO HER DAILY TASKS.
2. The place, especially the kitchen and dining areas were absolutely filthy with dried scum, insects and bugs running all over the table, counter tops, sink, floors etc. The bedroom had roaches crawling over the floors and bed. This is supposed to be a detox program. How can anyone do an internal detox in a filthy environment. The photographs in the ad are false representation and totally misleading. It was anything, but a relaxing getaway. It was an absolutely stressful situation. The statement “During the weekend, lots of visitors (mostly city people and foreigners) will come here to stay and enjoy the weekend” refers to another Ananda Marga center 10 minutes from this actual location. THE AD IS A TOTALLY FALSE REPRESENTATION OF THE PLACE AND THE PROGRAM- DESIGNED DELIBERATELY TO MISLEAD CONSUMERS.
3. The treatments were variable- the sauna did not work well (cold to hot to cold all within 15 mins leaving me to catch a chill). The mud treatment was outdoors, and I was assured the male workers in the garden would be told not to go around to the back. Imagine my horror when I was applying mud to my naked body and found two male workers gawking at me!!!!
I HEARD SIMILAR HORROR STORIES FROM LOCALS I MET AT THE OTHER CENTER. THE ORGANIZER ENTICES PEOPLE TO GIVE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. IN REALITY, IN THE PAST, SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY WALKED OUT OF THE PROGRAM AFTER 2 -3 DAYS. I COULD NOT DO THAT HAVING TRAVELLED ALL THE WAY FROM THE USA. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO WARN OTHER FOREIGNERS SO THEY DO NOT TRAVEL ALL THE WAY THERE AND BE HORRIFIED AS I WAS.

This totally exceeded my expectations. It was my first Yoga retreat and everything was perfect. The accommodation was excellent, the place itself is amazing. The yoga was absolutely brilliant and Debbie is awesome. The food was out of this world, all of us at the retreat were astounded with the flavours and the high quality of the food. Thank you to all of you for making my experience so fantastic.

I attended a yoga and hiking retreat in Kathmandu. The yoga, sound healing and massage were amazing with excellent instructors.
The accommodation and food in Kathmandu was good, and the overnight stay at Hotel View Point in Nagarcot had breathtaking views.
I was disappointed with the hiking experience as changes were made to the original schedule which left me underprepared, and carrying all my luggage when I could have left it at the hotel. Also, we ended up hiking through the busy streets of Bhaktapur instead of through the countryside. This was unpleasant, but I appreciate the option of visiting Bhaktapur.
Changes to one of the scheduled yoga sessions was also not communicated with me.

I didnt go with any expectations and I had the most amazing time.
When I got to the retreat they asked for payment in cash and it was difficult sorting a bank transfer internationally so perhaps make it clear whether the place takes cash only :)

The yoga retreat that I selected Alaya Retreat Centre at Cal Pau Cruset was very warm and welcoming and very accommodating and bent over backwards to make my experience memorable. The food was delicious and the accommodations were clean and very spacious. The yoga classes were some of the best I have ever had after three years plus of daily practice.

Had I read the reviews before booking I may have reconsidered.
However, I did thoroughly read the terms and agreed to them before booking..... as I always would.
I noted under section 7.3 a refund would be given if cancelled and buyer conformed to the organisers cancellation process.
So, due to an injury It was looking like I MAY not be able to attend an upcoming retreat.
I asked the organiser Eat.Sleep.Yoga about my options. (booked via BookYogaRetreats)
She offered to sell my place, resulting in "once sold I would NOT be able to attend". She subsequently sold it.
She offered a transfer which I was ok with, However, the transfer options were not suitable. due to time or location.
So, knowing the consumer law act 2015, all contract terms have to be fair towards the consumer.
It took a court order threat to get the money back off Eat.Sleep.Yoga. It should never have got to that point. So I would not recommend them for the terrible customer service and days of grief and pain caused. This part is an honest review of all aspects of the interaction through them.
Regarding BookYogaRetreats their interaction was present mainly throughout, (but ESY did go off the platform for subsequent conversations,) But they would tell ESY one thing and not convey this to me and vice versa.
BookYogaRetreats preached to me their terms but seemed to fail to recognize they were in breach of their own terms.
"Tripaneer guarantees that you get a refund of what you have paid i) when you cancel your Reservation in conformity with the Organizer’s terms and conditions regarding cancellation, and ii) when your stay is in fact shorter than what was offered by the Organizer in the Experience Offer. "
Not only would BYR not acknowledge 1) this place had been cancelled by the organiser, 2) that goodwill is not enforceable by law in this context, 3) the terms stated if cancelled and I conformed I would receive a refund,,,, but it took again way too many emails and days to organise MY FULL REFUND.
I have received the refund in full as I know my rights. I did not breach them but as I write this I still have not been notified of it. Its only because I checked my bank.
The customer service is inconsistent, Peter is not talking to Paul. They do not understand THEIR OWN contracts. Be careful. But more importantly KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
Editing after response from Bookyogaretreats. I didn't cancel the place. I asked what my options were IF I couldn't attend. It's completely different from cancelling especially when the organiser States " if sold you cannot attend". and on that point that's why I was always entitled to a full refund. The goodwill offer was not viable. The terms state I was entitled to a refund as I conformed to the terms. I've said this now about 40 times on messages.

Simple, easy and transparent. It also felt safe to go through this third party to ensure things went smoothly with the retreat. When there was a hiccup Tripaneer directly reached out with options and offer of support/help
