Migrated from Republic wireless to… Boost Infinet . Worst thing ever

Migrated from Republic wireless to Boost Infinte. Worst ever. Have been trying for 3 weeks to get service fixed. Had a number of tickets opened, ended up with 4 sim cards two came the same day. I was finally told today, after being told I was put on the wrong network, that they would have to open a new account and run my credit again. It would take a few days. So, I said enough is enough and opened a new account with another carrier. I then had to contact Boost to get a pin number to leave. That was an ordeal in itself.

Can not make a simple phone call. file complaint with FCC

I have not had any phone service for 8 days and counting. This phone service is the worst because I am unable to make a simple phone call or send a text. No data access. Opened a ticket to get the service working and Nothing. My phone is nothing more than a paperweight. No service at all. I asked for a supervisor to call me and nothing , no call back , no updates as to when my phone would be operational, I am just told that they are working on it. Absolutely horrible experience. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and would urge all of those affected with this issue to file one too. very simple, just go to FCC website, takes 2 minutes to fill out the form.

Terrible Customer Support

As soon as I set up an account with them I had issues. No way to call or text people for two weeks and no one could tell me why or when the issue would be fixed. Bought a phone through them and wouldn't give me a proper reason as to why I couldn't return it even though it was within their requirements. Absolutely no help and no one would give me a straight answer for any of my questions.

Don't understand the negative reviews

Don't understand the negative reviews. My experience with BoostInfinite has been a major leap forward since AT&T.

I suspect the majority of the alleged issues are on the consumer side.

I have had far better service across the board including coverage area and speed and at a great price since February 2023.

I gave them a 2 week test run with a new number and they passed with flying colors. Then I canceled that new account, signed up with a new one and ported my number from AT&T. It did take a few hours for AT&T to release the number though.

We have never looked back.

Too good to be true.

4 hour port in time after saying it was gonna be 5 minutes. Customer service was there but didn’t have a clue how to fix it, charged my card 3 times (0 dollars), nothing worked was without phone for 4 hours. Ridiculous, don’t waste your time. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. Go with visible by Verizon, It took 2 minutes from starting the process to finishing, and only cost 45 for best plan. Boost didn’t even know iPhone 14s didn’t have SIM cards in the USA. GET IT TOGETHER.

Find a different carrier 0 rating

I would give Boost infinite a 0 if I could. My number was transferred over from Republic wireless on 9/1. I have not had service since. I have lost count on how many people I have talked to. Everyone has been polite and I feel like they all want to be helpful, but the costumer service people I have spoken with are all waiting for "the people who know about the issue" to fix the problem. I finally gave up waiting for them to fix the known issues. My Mint SIM card should arrive in a few days and I will be taking my business elsewhere. My suggestion call boost get the account number and pin you need and go somewhere else. This is the only way for you to get a working phone.

Transition from Republic Wireless

The comments you see here are true. I have as well been on the phone 6 days in a row trying to get my phone transferred over. Boost Infinite seem incapable of resolving any technical issues arising from the transition from Republic Wireless.
I strongly recommend everyone to avoid Boost Infinite!

Not a good start….

We’ve had nothing but trouble since being forced to transition from Republic Wireless to Boost Infinite. On Friday 9/1 my wife received a text saying welcome to Boost Infinite and to use the provided link to get setup. After setting up my wife’s phone, the phone will not send or receive calls. I’ve been on the phone multiple times with different representatives and nobody can help us. We were told we were being sent SIMS cards and then find out that was not true so already we are being lied to. Horrible customer service and bad decision making on the leadership of this company to do this transition over a major holiday weekend. We have been without a phone for 6 days now and nobody seems to want to resolve the issue.

HORRIBLE. They sent the wrong SIM cards for two…

They sent the wrong SIM cards for two out of the three lines I have. One line was completely dead for a month while they tried to figure it out, and one line was out for 2 weeks while they tried to figure it out. Same mistake both times. And then charged me $50 on each line even though I didn't have a working SIM card because they screwed it up. This company is an absolute nightmare.

The forced move from Republic to Boost has been on hiccup after another. Could not update my billing online/screen froze. Was told to install app if I want access to my own account--app also froze. Phone works--but I'm now looking into Mint Mobile. This process has not instilled any trust in the functionality of Boost Infinite. Republic Wireless was so much better!

Giving Boost Infinite even one star is…

Giving Boost Infinite even one star is unfathomable. My husband Signed up in early June for $25 unlimited/new iPhone 14, trading in his iPhone SE 2 for a discount, which was to be sent in to them when new phone was activated Transfer Pin from Verizon for keeping his number in hand and when phone arrived about a week later, he contacted them for assistance to proceed and activation and transfer began. We remained patient but yet 24 hrs later, NO SERVICE Incoming/outgoing calls failed, no data OR even Wifi capability. Verizon confirmed port transfer completed at 3am the morning after it began. The troubles began immediately We have countless documented dates, names and ticket #'s trying to have this rectified and has been looked into by even the upper end of their tech dept as per customer service. Extensive records exist in the matter and heard everything from possibly an e sim issue, phone itself problem etc He HAD and continued to have NO SERVICE or if/when got lucky, it dropped almost immediately!! FROM DAY 1!! NO callbacks or updates on ticket numbers filed, Left hanging to only keep calling them POOR!!! They guaranteed coverage for our area- LIED!! as they are Supported by T- Mobile, (an entity he had tried prior with failure and received admission from them of no coverage, or spotty at best) To date, now into late August, He STILL does not have a phone, He almost lost his job because they couldn't reach him when they needed him urgently, they have his SE phone IMEI number locked because trade in obviously not completed, so basically held hostage (an attempt with using it with Mint early August failed because of this! Confirmed by them its locked and immediately refunded) despite numerous requests and them being informed he was not keeping their non functional for our area services, he has NOT received whats needed to send new phone back, continued to bill his credit card knowing he was not even capable of using it or their service which forced him to block further payments until they at least and finally closed the acct AND despite all of this from the very first day, are using the 30 day return policy as their pitiful reasoning for not refunding what he has paid nor relinquishing the almost $800 debt for a phone he is and never was capable of using and has been asking for help to send back from almost the start!!!! they are risking damage to his exceptional credit score and is NOT EXCUSABLE!! BBB and FCC complaints being filed and legal to follow RUN and DO NOT believe their coverage map or promises!!

Boost infinite-cheats you and no help

I have had issues with Boost Infinite from day one. That is discounting the month or so right after I signed up in which you could not contact them at all.
They have not been able to solve any of the problems I have experienced and make no effort to contact me.
When I have time to waste on their very polite and totally ineffectual support staff I get no answers and 'a ticket has been put in'. I never hear anything back and nothing has ever been rectified.
I am supposed to have roaming capabilities in Canada but my phone never worked at all. They want an address to check for coverage and don't seem to understand when you are traveling through a large city there should be some coverage. They apologize for not being able to tell where coverage is available.
I would assume, since it is roaming, that it should be another carriers service that I would pick up. The techs do not seem to understand what roaming is or what is said to be available.
Although it is nice to have a live person answer it would be even better if they had an inkling as to what Boost is supposed to provide.
On another note, I was told by 3 different agents, before I actually signed up, that the sim card would choose the strongest of signals available of Tmobile, AT&T or Dish. Late on I am told that was not true (even though I called multiple times to verify the claim) but may happen in the future. One write up I found from the fall of 2021 made the same claim. Now I find write ups saying it is in the works.
A lot of dishonesty or very poorly trained personnel.

An update: They finally got roaming working the last few days of my trip. Still not 100% but better than nothing. No communication or updates from them.
Also, from day 1 I still can't forward calls. Still not working.
Another update: I have never gone over 18GB of data on any network on my worst time. Mostly I am around 6-8GB. I don't stream, game etc.
Now they cut off my hotspot (over 5GB) and slowed down everything else saying I am over 30GB in less than a week into my month.
The 1st agent I spoke with said 'Boost was having some issues with data amounts' but couldn't tell me what and couldn't help me
No one seems inclined to investigate or try to help. The service is horrible and much worse than when I actually had 3g and everything worked fine and much faster.

Good idea... TERRIBLE SERVICE!

People let me simply tell you this. ..DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
I first purchased my so called $25 plan and phone in February. I could not active the phone for about 3 weeks! They said their business was being 'cyberattacked'. My spidey sense told me to cut my losses then, but I gave them time to get straight. I finally got it activated and my so called new phone was giving all sorts of errors. Later, I found out my new phone that I had a payment agreement on was not new. It had Verizon files on it! Also, there apn setting looks very suspicious. It says E-seller on the phone apn settings. Also, my data would mysteriously be used up and when that happens, internet access is almost non existent. I paid for an increase in gigs from 30 to 40. Still, each month my data is gone. They have me paying all together $41 a month for all these problems. Very rude and ignorant foreign agents never help you. They even tried to get an extra $41 to restore more data which is double my bill. There are plenty of other established companies to do business with...this one is not a good choice. Will be switching soon.

Was forced to switch to Boost from Republic. The online instructions said wait at least an hour before installing the new sim. I did that. Did the carrier app instructions. Now I cannot call or text and every time I try to check my voicemail I get Boost customer care who can neither help me nor successfully transfer me to Republic Customer service

STAY AWAY!! They allowed me to make a payment, and reassured me my service would be on shortly. Fast forward 7 days. Still no service. Then I am told that my account was suspended and because of that it can’t be reactivated. On top of that they denied my refund and kept my payment. Liars and thieves!!!! And customer service department should be retrained or replaced

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Absolutely awful. When the service works it's ok, but really slow if you are coming from something like T-Mobile. Problem is when it's not working their support is "reboot your phone and try again", of that didn't work, let's try one of the other 3 phones you already said didn't work.

This company is incompetent

This company is incompetent! They have agents that are not properly trained and cannot connect you to a phone technician to fix your connection. My brand new iPhone 14 that I ordered through them has not been working all week. The phone is saying it needs a new sim, mind you the phone is ESIM only. Stay away from this company. I will be filing a class action lawsuit. I’m sure there are thousands with the same issue.
