NC500 road trip…
Great little bag for the back of my Mazda MX5, had to be carfull when packed as the retractable roof almost knocked to off the first time, was invaluable on a 7 day camping trip around the NC500, would recommend you buy this for that extra space.

Bought a Revo-Rack about 3 years ago, was quite happy with the product but this summer one of the pumps stopped working, tried to call and e-mail this Liza person several times, never received any reaction. After sales and customer service needs attention.

We do share courier tracking with all our customers so they can stay informed of there products progress. We do give an estimation of shipping time on the store but this can vary.
You are correct we work to tight deadlines as people need our products for a trip. I can see your boot-bag took 48hrs to be delivered and that you collected it from DHL to expedite the process.

We emailed instructions with the sales receipt. This was sent July 15th at 2.19pm. Please check your email.
I will also re-email them now.
In terms of the DHL charges this is beyond our control. As Norway is outside the EU I would expect import VAT to be added and a small admin charge from DHL. This would be the same for any overseas purchase again its beyond our control.

Jens thanks for sharing the DHL invoice by email as suspected its import VAT & Customs Duties applied by the Norwegian tax authorities and beyond our control. This will apply to any imported goods.
I will add some text to the website to make future Norwegian customers aware- thats the best we can do.

Revo Rack missing parts, update
Missing parts! The rack looks well made and the suction cups look like they will hold the rack securely to the car, only I can't assemble it because the saddle washers, flat washers and 2 grommets were missing. I sent emails to both Liza (at the email provided on the information sheet included in the shipping box) and Antony (incorrect email address used for Antony) 7/20 and 7/21 requesting the missing parts be sent. Two weeks later, no reply from either and no parts. How could I possibly give a favorable review. I'm very dissatisfied with the boot-rack company. Update: Missing parts have finally arrived.

We would never ignore a customer with issues its clearly not in our interest.
The parts should be in one of the boxes with the vacuum cups, we fully appreciate that you cannot use the Revo-Rack without the washers and bolts.
Obviously we want to sort this as soon as possible but without a name or order number we don't know who you are.

As per emails we never got your original email no idea why. It may have gone into Junk and been deleted. We emailed you back within hours of seeing this after working out who you where on a Saturday and the missing items are in the post on the next working day.

Boot Bag Original
Purchased a boot bag original for my 987.1 Porsche Boxster for a recent 2 week trip to France as although the Boxster offers a fair amount of luggage space I knew my wife would want to take more than space allowed.
Bag was delivered within a couple of days of ordering and was able to quickly attach to car with minimal problems.
Bag performed faultlessly and although only had really 1 day of bad weather when it rained heavily, contents remained bone dry.
Would highly recommend.

Great bit of kit
Great bit of kit. Helped transport much needed bits and bobs from London to the south of France with ease. Even when mildly loose it was fine. Only quibble was the black straps that keep everything together began to untangle in the wind, by the end of the journey looking like more like hair extensions - had to use scissors to trim these long strands off.

Didn't perform as indicated.
I bought the boot bag, used the straps that were included and had it tied down with no movement when parked, however; during my trip the bag slipped down from the trunk surface to the fender area. I had to stop and remove it. I would like to know if there are weight or speed restrictions that would have caused this to occur?

hi Kim,
We have been making and selling boot-bags since 2008 and have never had this issue.
We have sold over 25,000.
It sounds like the straps have not been correctly attached to the bag.
The bag has 6 ladder-locks on and the webbing straps need to be threaded through correctly so they are tight and don't move.
We suggest a weight of about 20kg/45lbs common sense says heavy solid objects in the trunk/boot and light soft objects in the boot-bag.
In terms of speed these have been used all over the globe and I am sure they have been used at high speed well above the recommended limits. We have customers with Ferrari's, Aston Martins etc.
I will email you with some pointers regarding the ladder-locks as I am 100% sure they were not threaded correctly, thats the issue.

Updated: The Original Boot-Bag does not fit.
Follow up: After reading Antony’s replie and his email to me, I will revise my review and give 4 stars. It’s not perfect for the reason stated but the suggestions given will be beneficial for sure. Finding the references referred are not easily found but they are there. I can recommend the Boot-Bag just be aware of its limitations with the RF.
The Original Boot-Bag seemed like a perfect solution to add storage space for my 2023 Mazda Miata MX-5 RF. We were excited when the item finally arrived and immediately wanted to test it out. We put two large pillows into the Boot-bag to give it some volume and followed the video to attach the bag and straps to the trunk of the car. All went well until we tried putting the top down. The car roof cover could not clear the bag as it folded back towards the trunk. We tried adjusting the position of the bag but the car top never cleared the bag until we moved it back so far back the bag was hanging off the edge of the trunk. We’re not sure if there is a solution for this but at this point the Boot-Bag isn’t working for us and the Miata MX-5 RF.

hi John you are welcome to return the boot-bag if you have had it for less than 14 days.
There is a video on the boot-bag.com website on the RF page that shows that if the boot-bag is not 100% full the roof can be operated. This video was sent to us by a happy Japanese customer.
As per that webpage if you do want to operate the roof with the boot-bag fitted and its full all you have to do is loosen the straps and pull the bag back 5"/15cm use the roof and then tighten the straps.
This is all perfectly clear on the website so it should not come as a shock. No where on the website do we state that the roof can be used with a full boot-bag fitted.
I will also email you shortly.

Recently purchased a Revo-Rack for our MX 5 for a 2,000 mile trip through Europe.
The ordering of the product is simple, and the delivery quick and efficient.

Excellent Quality Package
Very well manufactured Revo Rack and Bootbag. Excellent quality. During a 6 hour drive to Devon the suction pads never failed or required re-pressurising. Packed the boot bag with 15kgs of clothing, shoes & personal items. Still loads of space left. The only criticism was the plastic triangular sheet on the base of the Bootbag. It started to flap because it did not sit on the Revo rack very well. It had to be folded over to stop flapping whilst driving. My view is that it needs to be larger to sit better on the front of the Revo
Rack. Still very impressed with the whole package and would recommend.
