Customer service is terrible
Customer service is terrible. They start with an AI response, and when AI isn't able to help you they forward it to a human for review. The human was much less personable or helpful than the AI, so that was disappointing. I placed an order for 4 pairs of pants and realized within a few hours that I could have used a coupon code to save $39 on the order. I emailed customer service to see about a price adjustment or if I could cancel the order and replace it with a new order using the code. Initially, AI said this was a possibility since I had purchased the protection plan on my order and forwarded my request to a human for review. The human sent back a short email saying they wouldn't be able to do anything for me. I'm surprised with what a good customer I've been that they wouldn't be willing to make the adjustment or assist me in a cancellation. They actually didn't even respond to my question about cancelling. It's unlikely I'll make future purchases or recommend Born Primitive after this experience. In general I like the fit of their tactical and outdoor pants better than 5.11, but 5.11 has very helpful customer service. The one time I had an issue with 5.11, they took care of me right away. Additionally, the quality on the Born Primitive pants varies greatly. I've had some pants that wear like iron and others that show significant signs of wear after one or two times wearing them.
They sale junk and don’t refund you
They sale junk and don’t refund you. Buyer beware. Do not buy from this company. They talk about veterans and US but all the stuff is made in outside U.S. The shoes fall apart in 6 months and if they have a sale the day after you buy them they make you buy and return the other pair or take a store cried no refunds. They suck!
DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY! BEWARE
Firstly, the shoes are cheap and very lightweight. Secondly, they’re sizing Guyed is crazy. I bought a half size 2 large and couldn’t put them on. Thirdly their practices are deceptive at best. In very small grade out letters a final sale notice was posted and they won’t even exchange them for the right size despite their misguided sizing.DO NOT TRUST!!!

I just bought my first and last pair of womens terrain pants for $99.00. I love them but I have only worn them once and washed according to directions, when I pulled them out of the washing machine, there were several little pulls all over the pants.
Claiming the "order protect" fee of…
Claiming the "order protect" fee of $2.25 is optional when there is no way to remove it is a money grabbing scheme.
Over priced shoes
Just received my shoes. Shipping was fast, no problems there (I live in California). The shoe is a minimalist shoe which I wanted for lifting. I don’t think these shoes should cost more than $60 TOPS. There are much better lifting shoes out there and this will be my last pair from Born Primitive. Why these cost $120 and up is beyond me. Also if you’re in between sizes, size up!

Great fitting tights and look great but fabric pilled after one wear and all stitching has started to fray
Bad business
Ordered the shoes on a "sale", still $100. Received the first shipping update 10 days later, and received them 14 days after ordering. After receiving them, they are terrible shoes made with low quality and minimal materials. Reviews online mentioned they run a little wide, but that is not the case at all. Lightweight, but that's not a plus in this case; there's no padding, and corners were definitely cut to make these shoes as profitable as possible. Made in China, and didn't need to check the tag to know that; ironic for a veteran-owned and veteran-operated business. Their return system coerces you into accepting a store credit gift card, and robs you of $15 from your return for handling. Absolutely ridiculous experience and will never order here or any of their shoes anywhere, ever again.
My first order from BP
My first order from BP. Ordered the Betsy Ross edition and can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am in the quality of the shoes. Foot padding is very minimal and cheaply made. The trim around the lacing holes causes the shoestring to bunch up in the toe area. The stitching on the tongue flap is erratic and the worst part is the top portion of the tongue is rubberized plastic. It digs into your skin through socks and makes them essentially a real pain to wear. You can return for a store credit but given the poor quality of this pair…I wouldn’t try another product. Stuck with a subpar, cheaply made, pair of what will be garden shoes. I do not recommend this company. Wish I would’ve checked Trust Pilot first!
Still waiting for my order
Still waiting for my order, or even a response from customer service. No shoes, ridiculous shipping fees and they tack on an extra “order protection” on top of that cost for an order that we may never receive.
Now reading other reviews we plan on cancelling and sucking up those shipping costs because the review of the product seems equally as bad.
Save yourself the headache!!
Very slow delivery
Very slow delivery. They tack on an "order protect" fee, which is not removeable. Appears to be just a money gouge. And the shoes, which arrived in the wrong size, are not eligible for exchange because they were on sale. I will not order from Born Primitive again.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Returns policy results in you paying just as much to return an item as buy it in the first place. Sizing is completely off. Generally just awful.
Tight fitting clothes, returns take too long...
The Cloud Joggers (and the other items I ordered) are undeniably high quality. The material feels durable, well-made, and it’s easy to see why the brand gets high ratings. That said, I probably won’t purchase from Born Primitive again—and it has nothing to do with craftsmanship.
The fit is very tight and form-fitting, clearly designed for athletic body types similar to their models. The stretchy fabric does what it’s meant to do, but it isn’t very forgiving if you don’t have that physique. Personally, I’m not a fan of clothing that highlights areas like love handles, and their shirts just weren’t flattering on my body type.
Another downside is the overall buying and return experience. Shipping takes a couple of weeks, and if you need to exchange for a different size, you’re waiting another couple of weeks. Returns for a refund come with a restocking fee (around $12), which feels frustrating—especially given the relatively limited product selection. They do offer store credit incentives, but if the styles or fits don’t work for you, that’s not very helpful.
In short: excellent quality clothing, but between the tight fit, long delivery and return times, restocking fees, and limited selection, it’s not a brand I’d recommend unless you’re confident the fit and style are exactly what you’re looking for.
Fulfill my order
Fulfill my order. It’s been since December 18th with no communication from human support. Order #1951902
Absolutely terrible customer service
Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered two joggers for my wife Dec 10 for Christmas. According to website they would arrive by the 20th. Today is the 29th. Everytime I send an email it’s a generic email response then a real person told me it’s my fault because Christmas time is busy.
Horrible service and warranty.
Horrible service and warranty.
Ordered a pair of jeans and only wore them on weekends. After just 3 months of owning them and using them for leisure, they ripped in the thigh area. Asking them if they would warranty this they said being that it was due to "normal wear and tear" I could not have my pants warrantied, or get a new pair. $110.00 down the drain.
The shoe wa plastic shoess not what it appeared to…
I believe they were made in chinaThe shoe was not what it appeared to be.It looked on the advertising as leather or suede, but it is an ugly plastic so disappointed in our american made products and you charge a lot of money for them.I paid like a hundred and fifty for a pair of plastic shoes. And I kept them because now I'll wear them as just work shoes... Not a workout shoes
Quality Decline, Price Increase
I have purchased joggers from BP for several years running. They're quality has drastically declined. My most recent pair was only shy of 8 months old and completely disintegrated and changed color on the inner thigh. I NEVER machine dry my leggings or joggers. Might as well have thrown that $70 down the drain. When I contacted customer service, it AI. Utterly disappointed. They lost a repeat customer.
I‘m really disappointed
I‘m really disappointed. I was so excited when I order them but these are honestly the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had. They run small and pinch my toes. There is no arch support at all. The tongue is short and hard and rubs my ankles raw. Based on other reviewers customer service experience, I guess I’m stuck with them... Not going to bother fighting with them. Lesson learned.
