A fabulous website which is easy to use and gives awesome advice. Safety and security for all concerned is all covered by the organisation. We found our perfect match first time and our borrowed doggy brings such joy and has helped to fill a huge dog shaped hole in our lives. It’s heartwarming to see how happy he is with us. I’m so glad Borrow My Doggy exists and highly recommend it for borrowers and owners.

Perfect way to enjoy the company of a dog when you can no longer have your own. Website is easy to navigate and everything has been clearly thought through, so that both owners and borrowers can find the right match.

Joined up a couple of weeks ago as my kids really want a dog and I wanted to see how they would get on with different breeds.
Have had two get to know you walks, a whole day date with a wonderful Labrabour, a day with a Pomeranian planned for tomorrow and have another dog that has messaged too.
This has been brilliant for us!

BorrowMyDoggy has genuinely transformed my life. As someone who loves dogs but isn’t in a position to own one, being able to spend time with amazing dogs through the platform has been incredible for my mental health and wellbeing. I’ve not only found joy and companionship in the dogs I’ve met, but also made new friends and felt more connected to my local community. Such a brilliant idea – I couldn’t recommend it more, especially as a neurodivergent person who works from home!

There are very few dogs in my area that are premium members / they don’t answer the message or answer once and when I reply that don’t answer back. Have asked for a refund twice no response.

This website has made my desire come true. I can’t, at the moment commit to owning a dog but miss their company. So now, first person I chose has offered me the opportunity to look after her dog as and when needed.
The whole procedure was super fast and easy. Great website. Very very grateful.🙏

Does exactly what it’s advertises as. Met some lovely people and dogs. Would recommend this site to dog owners and people like myself, looking for a little doggy companionship.

The borrowers who have stuck with me and my dog. I have had a considerable number of borrowers over 3plus years. I have never had a bad walker tho I have messaged over a hundred in that time so there are a large number who don't answer. I have tried to respect our borrowers recognising they are volunteers so need to be happy with all arrangements. My dog is a great help as she absolutely loves her borrowers and has a great welcome for them, even when they first arrive!! I find the app very annoying and customer service non existent. Messages left are not responded too but I do value the service. I don't see the point of none premium borrowers and have never tried to message them.

Signed up today as a borrower because my dog died earlier this year and I miss him loads but couldn't commit to owning another one at this time. The sign up was easy. I wrote a detailed profile explaining what I could offer, then scrolled through the many available dogs in my area and messaged two owners suggesting their dog might be a match. I got almost immediate responses from both owners and am meeting the dogs this weekend! I'm really pleased. I had previously tried to foster a dog for a rescue but they didn't want to know me because I have to pop out on short visits to see clients during the day. The two dogs I'm meeting from borrow my doggie are reportedly fine with being left alone for short periods. I'm really pleased with the outcome so far. Great concept!

I lost my wife to cancer in March this year and providing company for our dog at all times became a thorny problem. Before, either one of us was around almost all of the time.
Then I discovered Borrow My Doggy. Although borrower no 1 did not reply, borrower family no 2 have now met Baxter three times including an overnight stay and it's working out OK. Many thanks to Borrow My Doggy.

When I came across this website I was so excited cos I love the idea of it. I contacted 3 people who I thought were ideal for our dog, and not one of them responded.

As a borrower I have met so many gorgeous dogs but have fell inlove with one in particular, Blue, a blue staffy just ten minutes away! We no longer look after any other dogs and have Blue multiple days every week. We’ve been looking after Blue for six months today and he feels very much part of our family- I couldn’t imagine life without him! I am so grateful for BorrowMyDoggy for allowing us to find Blue as life wouldn’t be the same without him.
**Tip for anyone wanting a borrower**
After reading some of these reviews I could spot a fair few red flags and wanted to give some tips to hopefully help improve your experience with BMD. If anyone is just wanting free dog care and not actually supporting a bond between there dog and someone else, I wouldn’t personally pursue this because it should be two way. We look after Blue because we love him. His owner doesn’t always need pet care as he is fine at home on his own but he appreciates the love we give his dog and is always really good with us, letting us look after Blue whenever we want which means we will always make sure we can look after Blue when he needs it. I have had owners in the past who have been so demanding treating me like a paid service so I quickly stopped looking after those dogs. Blue’s owner will come in and sit with us when he picks him up and we have chatted and formed a bond with him. It’s not just the dog we love, but the owner too!

Absolutely terrible company. Do not use these people. You pay to use their services and if you are a borrower you will get zero replies. This website takes advantage of people. Do not use these scumbags.

Personally, I have nothing but amazing things to say about BorrowMyDoggy. It is such a fantastic concept. I work full time and have a dog with spaniel energy and BMD is a genius way of matching dogs with people who love dogs and can't have them. I am my dog's social secretary - I can go to London for the day knowing that he will be walked by someone who will be thrilled to take him out: win-win. I've met some lovely people, too, and my dog is a big fan! I sometimes have to refresh the app to ensure messages upload, but other than than, I've had no issues. Highly recommend.

Really bad - paid for a subscription and then due to technical issues on their side I haven’t been able to access the subscription. Have emailed multiple times to only have one unhelpful reply that did not solve my issue. Basically paid and received nothing in return

This is a terrible service.
It is impossible to navigate getting a full refund from this company.
Their customer service is Non Existent. It is impenetrable to get help and navigate a full refund.
Your concept is fine. Your service provision is bad. You should be ashamed of taking people’s money and not being responsible when a refund is required.
Bad.

Great concept! I successfully connected with two wonderful local dog owners, as a borrower. I’m delighted to say I now have two lifelong buddies from this site (one two legged, one four-legged!).
Borrowmydoggy was a huge blessing during a period of being without my own canine companion. I’d lost my boy, was devastated and craving canine company, but not yet ready for another of my own. I eventually adopted another dog, but I still see my borrow doggy every week and we all walk together!

I requested to cancel my subscription within the 30 days stayed in their terms and conditions after no answers to the messages I sent to "borrowers" who were apparently available.
I have an elderly Labrador, 'Borrow my Doggy' recommended a guy who wanted to 'borrow' a Pug to surprise his girlfriend!!!
Claire from "customer service" suggested I keep trying!!
To date I have sent another 3 emails requesting a refund all have been ignored.

Only possible to pay 1 year fee, this is ridiculous. I am moving out in 3 months to another country and will not be getting my money back
