What customer service?
My most recent purchase from Bosch was another power tool and according to their website it qualified for a free gift of a Systembox case and an insert valued at over £40 and it stated that the free items would be added after checkout, sadly this wasn’t the case and no freebie’s arrived. I have tried twice to contact them via email and have received acknowledgment of their receiving my messages but sadly I haven’t received any reply. This and the other reviews on Trustpilot has rocked my confidence in Bosch and I’m starting to pray that none of my many Bosch products ever develop a fault if this is the standard of their customer services.
Avoid Bosch power jet washers as mine…
Avoid Bosch power jet washers as mine let off blue smoke. It's so called service centre reneged on its promises to investigate and did not collect item despite waiting all day for its courier which was despicable. Clearly they do not care if I suffered. Deserve 0 stars. Surprised they are not on BBC watchdog. When you phone they don't care by ignoring your pleas for help.
Has the potential to be useful
Has the potential to be useful, however the emails are all in German no use at all and I've registered my tools twice and it doesn't retain the information GIVE It A MISS
Bosch ...premium prices with a bargain-bin quality
I spent just under £600 on a Bosch Indego robotic mower, expecting a premium product from a “trusted” brand. What I got was something that didn’t even make it to 3 years before it died despite being maintained properly and stored indoors over winter.
When I contacted Bosch, I found out they won’t honour the 3-year warranty. ...why? Because my registration was apparently a few weeks late. Instead of doing the right thing, they hid behind this technicality and left me with two options: pay half the purchase price for a repair, or throw it away.
For a brand that trades on its reputation for German engineering and quality, this is disgraceful. The reality is:
1. Bosch’s so-called “quality” products fail in under 3 years.
2. Their customer service will happily leave you stranded over petty paperwork deadlines.
3. Repairs are extortionate, making their products effectively disposable.
I have viewed other reviews and this doesn't seem uncommon. I expect Bosch will probably reply to this review with a generic “please contact us” message to look good for the public. Don’t be fooled - in my experience, they’re not interested in resolving issues, just in saving face. They care more about protecting their policies than their customers.
Meanwhile, my neighbour’s budget mower from Aldi is still going strong - which tells you everything you need to know. Bosch are selling inferior products at premium prices, then dodging responsibility when they fail.
I have purchased many Bosch products previously and I'm washing my hands of them now.
Think twice before you buy Bosch — the brand is living off its old reputation, and in my experience, it’s not deserved anymore.
Fraud and ghosting
I bought a power tool because i wanted to make use of their promotion of free battery. I filled up the form where it confirmed that I qualify for it. I bought the power tool and then later they replied that I do not qualify for whatever reason they made up. So I decided to return the tool as I have no use for it without the battery. They played dead ever since. Disgusting behavior, fraudulent promotion offers, borderline illegal. AVOID.

Bosch Advancerotek mower has now failed…
Bosch Advancerotek mower has now failed due to low quality components twice in 14 months. First repair took 3 weeks. Current repair is still not back with me after nearly 3 weeks. Customer Service tell you "tough" in so many words.
Terrible customer service
My lawnmower failed inside warranty and Bosch had to order new motor from Germany so did not meet their suggested return time scale. When they returned the mower it arrived broken so Bosch then treated this as a new case; again the parts needed to come from Germany. It is now almost six weeks since Bosch first received the mower and as yet no sight of my repaired mower, nor a replacement.
The mower has now been returned for the second time (after six weeks), it had broken through the packaging and did not work.
I am now waiting to see if they will replace it with a new one.
Garden Shredder
I have a garden shredder. It has been intermittently failing and finally gave up. I tried to book it in for service but had to put the collection on hold until I had packaged it up. When I called to book in the collection I got the most unreasonable and tetchy Customer Service Rep that I have ever dealt with! Based on this experience, I will be avoiding Bosch products in future; they used to be some of the best but that is clearly not the case now.
No Response from Bosch to my Query
I own a Bosch Rotak 430 LI Ergoflex cordless lawnmower. It needs a new blade. Looking at my appliances user manual it’s clear that the blade is 43 cm in length. However it wasn’t clear on the Bosch website which 43 cm blade will fit my Bosch mower? There were blades available for purchase that would fit Rotak 43 mowers and a Rotak 43LI mowers, but not any blades listed for a Rotak 430LI lawnmower. So in order to make sure that I purchased the right blade I contacted Bosch for advice using their online “Contact Bosch experts” form. I filled in my query and hoped for a quick response as Bosch state we will process your request as soon as possible. Sadly Bosch have not addressed my query and never contacted me. I’m still none the wiser as to which blade fits my mower. This is really disappointing, I now face having to risk buying a 43cm blade by trying to see if it looks the same in pictures on the Bosch website. This is not a great position to be in, and I could end up out of pocket by buying the wrong blade.
Absolutely superb service
Absolutely superb service. My Keo saw stopped working after 15 months. Spoke to Bosch-diy Customer Services Thursday afternoon. Item was collected from my home on Friday and a brand new upgraded replacement delivered to my door on the following Tuesday. No questions, no cost, no fuss. Absolutely amazing. Will be sticking with Bosch tools from now on.
Thank you for an exceptional trouble free experience.
BOSCH 65cm cordless Hedgecutter fault
Purchased the 65cm BOSCH cordless Hedgecutter on 15th July via Amazon. During initial charge of the Lithium battery, the battery/charger began to smoke and got really HOT !!!.
Set up return to Amazon and contacted Bosch customer service. Since then absolutely no feedback, infect Amazon appear to be gaslighting me and say they have no record of the chat despite completing a full refund.
This was a very serious incident that could have potentially caused serious damage to my kitchen/house or even worse if it had been left unattended.
I just need feedback please. Thanks
Terrible quality lawnmowers
I bought a Bosch AdvancedRotak 36-650 cordless mower and it just died on me, requiring a warranty replacement (not even a repair). A couple of years down the road, the replacement died on me too. Absolutely garbage quality mowers.
DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNRELIABLE PRODUCTS BOSCH UK
Absolutely dreadful service. Bought a lawn mower which suddenly stopped working for no reason less than two years after having bought it. All I can do is submit a repair request, only to find out I had 24 hours to source a box big enough to package it in for collection, AT MY EXPENSE. Speaking to customer support was absolutely useless, and I was spoken to in an extremely condescending way. STEER AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
Bosch in the UK deserve their garbage…
Bosch in the UK deserve their garbage Trustpilot score.
This company channels the Millwall FC approach.
Avoid.
Bought a Workmate. Surprisingly plastic-heavy construction. A plastic stay broke first use.
Bosch 'customer services' demanded I box the thing for collection. I advised that I had thrown the box away - it was large - so Bosch would have to supply a new box. Bosch bluntly refused to do so.
Eventually cobbled together something from several boxes and tape and it was collected.
Advised it would be inspected by the 'workshop' within 10 working days. Ten working days came and went. I chased Bosch. Usual blather about a backlog, will be inspected by the end of the following week.
They just don't appear to care how bad the customer experience is.
Bosch DIY in Sweden - be ware
In July 2023 I bought a Bosch-advancedrotak-36-950. Now (in May 2024) it's completely dead (won't power on). As it's only been 10 months I thought it would be covered by the warranty (that should last 3 years) but Bosch here in Sweden won't fix it. They say they won't take care of transportation to their service center in Denmark so I would have to drive it there myself from Sweden. On their website it clearly says they will take care of transportation for repairs under warranty but that's a lie. I'll never buy Bosch again.
Extended guarentee registration- OMG
UPDATE. original in brackets. Made a comment to customer service and they were back next day. Over the next few days got the link and new product now registered. Of the product, good. New purchase- Registration documents in German as too the website! No tab to change language. The most unpleasant website to navigate. Bosch DIY, register a tool and a page "singlekeyID" appears. unable to register, left message in contact asking them to contact me. Product looks good just very dissappointing one can not register to get extended guarentee!)
I bought a Bosch Advanced Rotak 650…
I bought a Bosch Advanced Rotak 650 electric lawnmower corded because I stupidly thought it was 'plug in and go' without the hours of hassles assembling e.g. the handles and grass box etc like last time with a Bosch 47. Hah, Bosch made the assembly painful for customers again. The electric power cord is not built in but is separate and has to be pushed into the handlebar socket to connect - the nightmare this time was that it would not push in! I asked my neighbours to have a go and they couldn't push it in either. I phoned Bosch DIY technical help support and a woman answered who just repeated -we can't see it so we can't advise'.So I emailed instead and a very helpful man said 'They can be a bit stiff'. So I asked a handyman to push it in for me and he said it was really hard to push in and didn't quite push it all the way so the electric pins were still visible. I gave up and returned it for a refund. It is the 21st century why are lawnmowers such a pain to set up. So that was a wasted day waiting in for delivery, another for the collection and 5 hours fruitlessly trying to get the socket in.
Three months and waiting
I bought a drill and router, the latter essential towards achieving the look and joins to some (home-designed) shelving.
The instructions which came with the router (POF1400) had displayed the names of the different areas on the tool, whilst not giving any explanation as to what they are for.
I emailed in, following phone-calls, and in response (apparently from their technical team) was provided with some YouTube links - not to Bosch's own videos but other people's...
Believe it or not, I had actually gone about that quest myself and hence the need to make contact with the company.
From watching many videos (again), I still could not find an answer to my specific and yet to be expected question:
When setting the router-depth, what method is suggested for the rebater and indeed for any other bit which consists of a wheel that rotates on its own axis (to run along edges) to be found at the end of the shanks (as opposed to a cutter) and which has to be taken into account in the settings.
No video tackles the problem and when I phoned Bosch a third and fourth and fifth time over the course of a few months, with emails sent running parallel, knowledge given that I was waiting to carry out work to a house, I was met with the same reply as before by the technical team.
In other words, they don't know how their own equipment works.
If it weren't for the high standard of tools, I would write the company off.
Very poor service .my hedge trimmer…
Very poor service .my hedge trimmer broke after just a few months . Bosch have no interest in returns/ repairs from Republic of Ireland . Will never buy from them again .
