Peace and serenity at our Luxury B and B on the coast of Exmoor National Park, close to the South West England Coast Path. We have 9 rooms, and a self catering wheelchair accessible apartment, in our Grade II Listed Building. We have the oldest Squash court in England and an outside hard Tennis court. We have recently introduced a Sauna, wellness suite, and Honesty bar stocked with local Exmoor Vodka and Wicked Wolf Gin as well as Thatcher's cider (and much more). There is a very large and comfortable lounge with a wonderful view of the rolling moorland of Dunkery Beacon and Allerford village. You get glorious views from the Oak Mullioned front windows (from bedrooms D, E, G, and H, as well the grand breakfast room) and 100ft long terrace, 8 acres of informal Arts and Crafts grounds to explore, with millpond, waterfall, shallow river and many fruit trees. The village of Porlock with its various pubs and restaurants is just a mile and half easy walk through the chocolate box village of Bossington itself. The sea is a fifteen minute level walk, opening up to the spectacular bay, showing the headlands to Lynmouth and Hurlstone point - this is a pebble beach.

On arrival every detail was explained about the beautiful property, we were taken to the various rooms available to use then out onto the terrace with the amazing views, tennis courts and squash courts plus sauna, the room was one of the cleanest I have ever experienced.
Breakfast was over and above what you’d expect at a 5* hotel…
Great host, great chief, wonderful experience, would definitely recommend it plus would definitely go back …

The owner of this elegant boutique hotel has incredible attention to detail. The rooms are immaculate and beautiful presented. We enjoyed an amazing view from our large first floor room ( named Embercombe ) of the gardens and sea beyond. There was loads of choice at breakfast which was delicious and efficiently served by the friendly staff. Immediately behind the hotel is access to some truly memorable walks through the woods to the stunning coastal path. Porlock is within walking distance for evening meals etc. We stayed for 2 nights and would certainly return when next in the area.

Stayed 3 nights at this wonderfully peaceful manor and large grounds with our labrador, playing in their outdoor tennis court and squash court. Had the best sleep and most delicious cooked and fresh breakfasts. The manor is extremely homely with an honesty bar. Warm staff and very helpful of where we could eat and walk. The best part of the location are the trail walks immediately behind the manor that takes you straight up to the beautiful Exmoor.
Truly wonderful stay at Bossington Hall.
10/10 across the board. Met at the door by a truly enigmatic host to be showed around a stunning building and beautiful rooms. Picturesque grounds and beautiful sea views are accompanied by a feel of complete tranquility.

This is far and away, the best place we have visited and only wish we could have stayed longer than just one night. Word and photos don't do it justice, it's breathtaking. The hosts couldn't have been kinder -superb attention to detail and everything was thought of to make your stay special and the breakfast was exquisite. We are telling all we know to treat themselves - we will definitely be back - thank you so much for having us. Kate and Phil Slater
