Booked an iPaf lifter training course…

Booked an iPaf lifter training course (3a & 3b) with Boss training for a centre called UTN training based in Kearsley. Arrived at UTN training for 9am and was turned away because apparently the course started at 8am. I mentioned I hadn’t recieved any information on start time. Rang Boss training and they had sent it and it was in my junk folder unfortunately. Was told my visit would go down as a none attendance and I would need to pay again for the course. The course today was just to renew my licence Iv held the licence spanning over 20 years. Disappointed 😞

Boss online Asbestos training

Completed the Boss online Asbestos training today. 99% of it is mildly interesting, but largely useless and boring information.
A couple of hours of my time I'll never get back. Surprisingly, I managed to complete it without chugging a bottle of whisky and a pack of paracetamol to end it sooner. The whole course could have been twenty minutes and a confirmatory test of fifteen questions. Dreading next year in case I have to put myself through this again.

Course precis:
Look up what Asbestos is and don't touch it. If you're an employer, look up what Asbestos is and instruct your employees not to touch it. If you're a mutant, you'll touch it anyway and online training won't help you.
There you go. Thank me later.

Thank you for your feedback on our UKATA Asbestos Awareness Online course.

The course is UKATA certified and has to meet their syllabus and timing requirements which means the online course has to last a minimum of 2 hours for it to be certified, this is the same for any UKATA member's Asbestos Awareness online course on the market.

We are currently updating our course to help increase course engagement, however, the nature of the topic is very serious and means that all the UKATA course content has to be covered and will never be able to last 20 minutes.
