I writing a review because you don't answer the telephone number (01502 512043) you provide for contact! Not a good start!
I purchased (via Ebay) a very expensive (£13.99) plug plant of Podophyllum from you which was delivered on 1 May 2024.
The plant was potted on in general purpose compost and placed in a closed cold frame.
The plug plant made very poor progress but I felt I needed to give it a little time (bearing in mind the cold weather) before writing it off.
I made contact with 'botanico' mid-August and, also sent three photos of the plant which had made little growth.
The person who responded did not identify himself, which immediately sends a very bad message. All they said was that the plant was damp and had rotted and that a refund was out of the question because my complaint was outside the 30day refund period. The plant was in a closed cold frame and watering was regulated!
I attempted to ask how I can judge after only 30days, whether i) the tiny plug plant you supplied has sufficient vigour to survive and flourish, and ii) whether the plug you supplied was indeed the same species and variety as that illustrated in your advert on Ebay? I could well argue - based on evidence - that the latter was not the case (see Trade Descriptions Act 1968).
I placed an order with you in good faith and on the understanding that you were a reputable supplier of exotic plants. The deplorable standard of customer service I have received so far, and the flat refusal to refund for the failed plant, has clearly demonstrated that I have been misguided.
In addition to ignored telephone calls, I have sent two emails detailing the above and received no response!
