Abysmal support time and again for…

Abysmal support time and again for priority users, documentation is unclear, clarification is limited, and everything is processed through a ticket manager first, making it frustrating to have actual conversation and walk through issues despite the bot hosting itself being wonderful. Documentation is extremely basic and marketplace is no longer available for learning easily on your own but they do not offer support for more in depth processes and there is no longer a channel where you can ask for advice to learn from other users - truly a shame. Really makes it difficult to recommend to others regularly - not as beginner friendly as it's advertised and it feels like either talking to a wall or being belittled half the time in the support server anymore - not like it used to be.

no support, no bugfixes фтв the possibilities are very limited

there is one developer i this project who dont give a faak for his community, all staff and helpers working for free and are part of community. tool is too limited, so.... faster and cheaper will be if u will learn python and drop ur bot on any free discord bot hosting or on any cheap laptop or VM. dont buy this piece of "stuff", never.

I am writing this on behalf of a former…

I am writing this on behalf of a former staff member, as I have not had these experiences but they have

My friend was a Moderator, and experienced their fair share of things within the team. For example, when a member were to ask too many details about how the company is run, they immediately were told to drop it, without a valid reason.

Botghost does not enforce their own TOS, and even though they may be a Discord-Based platform, they wont take action for breaking discord tos. They only do it on their own opinions as what should be punished. Nuke bots? Fine, we just don't help make them. Now my friend will say, they don't purge the chat from their knowledge.

The paid members do nothing within the server, which leaves the managers in charge, which in some cases they aren't much better. They claim you'll get unlimited lifetime tokens upon applying, but that's not true. You get 10 single lifetime tokens, and you can't even share them. Many moderators have left the team due to what the company does behind the scenes, and my friend has interviewed them and confirmed that.

There are very little things moderators can five opinions on, and if it's not one of those things they'll also tell you to drop it and "nothing's going to change".

My friend also has multiple screenshots, but is uncomfortable sharing them to the public as of now.

Another part I'll add is it has the worst support I've seen, many cases get skipped or ignored, and the company does not even support others who speak another language. I get that in general chats, bur support chats should support non-english.

Overall, do not use botghost, as it is a terrible company.

Garbage all over control panel

Apparently this site, it's owners, and the select bunch of Cat clique "Mods"/support staf", think it's funny to trash the dashboard (of premium members mind you), with stupid cat garbage all over it for April Fools. Some of us have better things to do, it's a shame you don't (even though the feature and bug list is a mile long), they choose to waste users time with cat garbage.
Support server is useless, no support there, Mods are completely useless and clueless. If you aren't in their little cat clique then they don't care.

Do NOT waste your money here. I wish I hadn't.

Terrible experience; sketchy staff

I was Community Support (volunteer position) for several months and throughout my time in the position, I learned of numerous sketchy things that the staff team/HRs do.

First of all, the free tier limits that are imposed are horrendous. I get that not everything can be free, and they do need to make money to an extent, but at this point so much is locked down it's nearly unusable. What am I meant to do with a measly 3 custom commands without paying? I know this review is for BotGhost, but their sidecar service, BotPanel, a dashboard builder, also does the same thing. It limits you heavily on server count unless you pay for the Professional plan, which is $24/month, and has unlimited servers. Honestly, you're better off paying a developer the cost of a lifetime subscription (or less) to BG to develop and host a bot that can do leagues more than BG could.

Secondly, my time supporting users was terrible. I honestly don't know why I didn't quit earlier. I had to constantly deal with people that were most definitely below the age of 10 (against Discord ToS), and could not understand basic English. I was treated horribly by members and I feel like managers don't really care or do anything about it. Once they introduced the CS voting system, where you could win prizes at the end of the month if people voted for you, you have CS members on the verge of begging members to vote for them after giving them support.

Thirdly, they are scummy. They have asked members to delete negative content about them in turn for premium or an unban from the server. They have made fake "deals", where they claim to have a 50% off sale, when they raised the original, before sale price, to make it seem like you're getting 50% off, when it's only 25 or 30%.

Lastly, the managers do some sketchy things. When they bring in a new round of moderators, they clear the staff chat and archive it. Now, this could have genuine meaning, but I assume it's to clear out arguments between staff and cover their tracks, because I've seen it being done after certain staff members are removed from the team. They cherish premium members and be more lenient on their punishments. They've deleted members' messages calling them out on things, even when it's simply just a question.

I personally was banned after someone said something along the lines of "This server's mods are the epitome of discord mod stereotypes". I simply replied to the message agreeing with him. I was banned, he walked away with nothing.

Anyway, thanks for coming to my rant. Please for the love of god don't use BotGhost.

Only good for basic stuff

Only good for basic stuff. Even the overpriced premium!

If you make some variations on whats there or small things it works fine.n Once you start using collections, loops, menu's and attempt to make something cool that is actually usefill the misery starts.

Stuff get extremely hard to test as there seems to exist several instances of your bot once you have saved some changes. So it becomes a random mess of the past and present configuration all in one. Restarting, resetting nothing but stepping away for a day or two helps. It seems to settle somewhere after some time. Please note that this somewhere can be a previous version in which case you just lost your hard work. But wait there is more.. yes, there are more ways to lose your hard work. Sometimes a bot can just go poof. It's rare but I had it happen twice.

If you are looking for something custom, more complex just hire a dev to write a real bot that just does the task. This junk isn't worth your time!

Non-functioning, Bad support (Not recommended)

I paid for a yearly subscription but literally half of the functions don't even work, or keep breaking. The bot also keeps randomly changing its status to advertise the website, while I paid for this specifically to not happen again.

Would NOT recommend at all. I tried contacting support and they were rude & unhelpful and just closed my ticket without attempting to fix these issues.

My experience with BotGhost has been…

My experience with BotGhost has been quite frustrating. The features sourced from the marketplace often prove unreliable, and even when they do work, I find myself continually tweaking and customizing the bot to inject uniqueness, as inspiration seems lacking. Unfortunately, this effort to enhance its value, which comes with a $100 cost, becomes futile when the market features eventually break and cease to function. Moreover, implementing these changes requires making them slightly different each time. I sincerely hope BotGhost can improve its offerings to avoid disappointing users like myself in the future.

Horrible Service

I have never seen a company so bad.

I love the simplicity of making the bots, but what's the point if things are always breaking. Yeah. Breaking. So instead of complaining at first, I went to their support server to get some help. Never ended up getting help and asked a staff member and they said to "just wait". Keep in mind about 8 staff were actively chatting in main chat. Then the same person who told me to "wait" then skipped my support forum and started to help people who made ones after me. This is the most recent event I encountered. The older one involves the actual owner. As someone who cannot go spending money for a bot service that seems to have issues, I rely off the free premium system, only when I need it. One time I got a friend to sign up, make a bot and went to go redeem my free premium. Except I didn't have any. So, I go and ask for help. Nobody could help apparently so the owner stepped in. Now this is what gets me mad. He tells me "There is nothing I can do, because you probably made an account on the same IP." Which I found interesting since I proved that I wasn't. But after asking if I can just get the premium the answer was no. 3 days I asked for. And said he can't do anything. Which is bull because few months later they pump out codes to your email if you haven't used the site in a while. So, I refuse to believe that he couldn't at the bare minimum create a code. Do not use this service unless you think you don't need the premium service or if you think you won't need help.

Terrible support system

Terrible support system, takes wayyyy too long for something simple, and when asked about it, i was told BY a support member to just "wait" instead of them answering my support ticket themselves, wouldnt recommend using their support, and if you cant figure stuff out, apparently ur out of luck when it comes to support

Well...

My journey with BotGhost wasn't the best. The "free premium" period which was promised to last three days only lasted for about an hour or so, and by the time it went off I already had the bot on my server, which pushed me on to get the premium subscription or risk the bot breaking. When I contacted the discord server for support, I was told they cannot do anything about it and can't "just give people premium". That's a big ol' lie still, considering later they offered 14 days of free premium which they've basically contradicted themselves there.

Aside these issues though it's mostly fine.

Extremely good site

Extremely good site. Staff are helpful and will help with any issues that occur with the bot. The premium experience is exquisite and makes a Discord server 100% better. Would recommend to anyone who wants to make an Discord bot without coding.

They get the right to disable your paid accounts without notice and when ever they want, even if you dont have made something wrong.
They dont give out any RL Informations so you will never be able to fill a report to it.

it looks all about scam at all so the rating can only this way
