All the previous reviews are spot on…

All the previous reviews are spot on and I only wish I’d seen them before engaging this “company” over a year ago. It is true that they go by several different names and will no doubt continue to do so. The “independent survey” is nothing of the sort as Pieter Boyce/Booyse is behind the whole thing. You should also be aware that he was made bankrupt in May this year (all of which is on the public record) and is therefore banned from being a company director.

To cut a long story short, these cowboys took £1,500 off me for a “restoration” of my ancient wooden front door but left it in a worse state, with significant damage and water pouring in when it rains. They couldn’t even fit a lock correctly after two attempts!

They insisted that the door had been “restored”, which beggars belief. I eventually got £400 back off them - because I didn’t have the strength to fight any more - but only after months of complaints and threats of legal action. They need to be shut down for good. Please AVOID like the plague!!

SCAM

Contacted this “company” to restore the front door of our grade 2 house. They charged 150 GBP for a “survey” only to tell us that they can’t do the job until after 1 year!

They go by multiple names; Boulton & Boyce, Pieter Boyce, Alex Ffrost, Fortis & Hooke.

Avoid.

Do not pay for the survey

Do not get suckered into paying for the survey. There is no real service, they just sell fake surveys. Once they got your £150 for the "survey", they will infuriate you by delaying by several weeks, producing random and inaccurate report, ignoring everything you ask for and quote for completely different things, change prices randomly just so you give up. Gangsters.

Avoid At All Costs

Pieter Boyce took our original front door away in September 2021 promising a detailed, artisan hand renovation and repair system for which we paid a sizeable deposit. After endless emails, fob offs, empty promises and 6 months without a front door, we took matters into our own hands and - after some detective work - found our door at a paint finishing company who we had to pay to release it. It had clearly been dipped in acid then jet hosed and - with splits, cracks and raised grain - was in a much worse state than when it was taken out. Despite follow up emails no refund or attempt to put things right was ever made. Be careful as Pieter Boyce (who employs his nephew JP to remove the doors) has several different company names including Fortis & Hooke, Period Property Group and Boulton Boyce.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
We contracted the owner of this company in April 2021 to restore and reinstall our Front Door, 10 months later they have our money and our front door. After numerous emails chasing for answers and the completion of the work all we get is fobbed off with different excuses and delay tactics. The service is shockingly unprofessional and essentially we've been completely ripped off. We are now taking legal action.
