I signed up for a Bouqs subscription to send flowers to my girlfriend and ran into quality issues from the very first order. The vase that arrived was stained, and while customer support did issue a refund, that's not the experience you want when sending flowers as a gift.
What really cost them my business, though, was a recurring issue with the personalized gift notes. On my first order, the message read "Cheers to many more?" — an exclamation point printed as a question mark. I assumed it was a one-off typo. On my second order, I intentionally used multiple exclamation points. Every single one of them was printed as a question mark on the card — in addition to some flowers being dead on arrival.
This is not a trivial error when you're sending flowers to someone early in a relationship. Tone and sincerity matter, and receiving a note that reads like a series of uncertain questions is the opposite of what you're going for. This appears to be a consistent system-level bug, not a fluke.
Save yourself the hassle — a local florist or even Costco will give you fresher flowers, better quality control, and none of the technical headaches.
I selected delivery for the 12th. As soon as tacking was available, it shows they wouldn't be delivered until the 13th. Too late for the intended purpose.
I have always had excellent experiences with Bougs. Very fresh flowers delivered on time each time I have used them.
I am liking that I can set up a series of deliveries, especially in the spring because I can take care of a bunch of birthdays and holidays at the same time. It gives me a chance to line them up when I am prone to forget in a busy season. The bouquets sent are beautiful and my family/friends love them!
