I too had a 'boxhosting' lifetime deal....
what can I add about such shysters offering hosting deals that work out more expensive and waste your time as well as giving alot of grief.... same as 'lifetime' deals for clouds etc . Too good to be true etc etc
anyway I read on here by some kind posters that 20i could help regain the lost domain and websites.
I can very much vouch for that being true as I juts spent the last few days with 20i recovering my site complete with 16gb of family photos that we had accumulated with the piwigo addin.
So now all is good. I have my files back.
many thanks 20i
Not even worth the one star!
Not even worth the one star!! The money is gone and 20i charges 36 GBP annually??
Seems to be a scam! ;-)
I chose the lifetime hosting they…
I chose the lifetime hosting they advertised on stack social. Now the company stopped its operations and 20i is taking over their business. Beware of such con startups in future

Wow!! What a lost
Wow, my site is gone, I updated it recently. That sucks, I have two domains registered with them that was supported to be lifetime hosting for the $45. How do I get my domains now? One is my main business I just bought in ad for in paper.
boxhosting is a steal

They charge to return your website to you
B* stards, I had to pay because I need my web pages
Bad Company that Stopped Responding
This company originally was a steal on stacksocial.com for a lifetime 199$ hosting plan. About 6 months ago they stopped responding to support tickets and now over the last week their site and any site they hosted is down.
If anyone has domains being held captive by them, please use their registrars compliance site to retrieve your domains!
Look for tucows domains and use their site to find their compliance form
out of business
out of business, I would like to tell 'simon' off.

If you were caught in this mess...
If you were caught in this mess...
Yes, Boxhosting seems to have shutdown and this is to help others who have been caught in this mess:
> Contact 20i as they are the reseller for boxhosting 20i.com. The support they gave me was excellent and I'm in the process of moving all services from boxhosting to them.
> You can also try complaining to ICANN icann.org but I don't know how long that will take and you need to prove ownership of your domains.
Sorry for all those who were caught in this; I for one will be VERY skeptical of "Lifetime" deals from-now-on..
Boxhosting.co.uk entirely disappeared…
Boxhosting.co.uk entirely disappeared from the internet since 3 days therefore my files, registry data, also email accounts have been inaccessible. Fortunately for me, I just used them for their hosting services having my domains registered elsewhere which allows me to redirect them to a new hosting service. ICANN.ORG could be of help for some people who ended up with their domains locked through this incident.

Sharing the above info that logic will prevail and boxhosting.co.uk will somehow correct this situation.
All of our websites are down
DNS are not working. They can at least send us a message to prepare our migration because they are closing.
Sad.
They are indeed gone
They are indeed gone. They have my DNS registry locked so I can't migrate my domains off. How do I unlock my domains without them being accessible?
Sadly they appear to have cut and run…
Sadly they appear to have cut and run on existing account holders. I suspected as much since they literally have not answered tickets for months. I am glad that I escaped with backps for my sites but am sad for those that were not prepared. I have been making my transitions in real time in the past few days and thankfully I did.
I purchased this "hosting package" from Stack Social. I knew the "deal" was too good to be true but originally the services ran great and had very little problem. If there is a valid reason for this issue I am all ears but the silence is deafening at this point.
Very disappointed in the outcome but I am not surprised in the least these day. Good luck all.
