Had to use BP Chargemaster as other charge points nearby were out of use. Got an unpleasant surprise at the cost. Approximately double the cost of recent Instavolt change stations.

Very expensive experience
Had to use BP Chargemaster as other charge points nearby were out of use. Got an unpleasant surprise at the cost. Approximately double the cost of recent Instavolt change stations.
Not worth the monthly subscription
I thought went I got and EV that I would try the BP Pulse card however I signed up and thought that would give me more scope for charging however after a few weeks found that I could get other chargers with the same cost for no subscription cards *Which I now use*, I also though that the cost was a bit expensive at £7.85 per month for nothing really, Have now cancelled the card as don't think the subscription was worth it ..

They will NOT refund you even you don't use their service!!!
Tap my card to the electric charge point but it turned out it wasn't working. Took my money as holding fee and then not even give my money back.

If a NO star could be given to this company I would!
BP installed a charging port in my nieces home in 2019 from that point it barely worked unfortunately due to dire life events it was chased up but left on the back burner…A hybrid car was bought for the express purpose of charging the vehicle but unfortunately for 80% of the time petrol had to be used.
The company sent out a number of one legged donkeys, from the first installer and the following men that attended to deal with issues!
It is the very last man that came that cataloged a long list of mistakes of the installation in 2019.
BP have a moral responsibility when they send their contractors and should ONLY use qualified electricians to install their products yet the mistakes made at my nieces home could have had dire consequences to the family.
I believe NO competent electrician would have made basic mistakes like the kind found in the extensive report written by their OWN contractor!
When I asked for them to remove their rubbish appliance and do the “decent” thing and reimburse the cost of something that had only ever worked briefly their response was to offer a £100 gesture of goodwill!!!!
If you are remotely thinking of using this company I suggest you do ALL your research before parting with your hard earned cash to a company that is not in the slightest bit interested in the safety of their customers!!

Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with. Had a home charger installed for a company car 3 years ago and as soon as the 3 year warranty ended they disconnected the data service so I can no longer extract charge data! It took 5 emails and 2 phone calls to gain an explanation that they are no longer making or supporting existing installations after the 3 year warranty period. If I need data my only option now is to replace the perfectly working charger for a new one at a cost +£1K.

Requested my account be deleted on 12th April and the process is still not complete. I provided all requested information by 14th April. I have asked why this process is taking so long and I was told 'the deletion process is underway'. Why does it take over a month to delete an account. Cowboys.
Do not use BP Chargemaster
Do not use BP Chargemaster
Dreadful customer service , new EV charger fitted , constant problems with water entering the unit , mickey mouse electricians attend who are obviously not qualified electricians, takes 3 weeks to get a response.

It seems impossible to get a Chargemaster Home Charge device repaired. I reported a fault on 28th Sept, an engineer finally attended on 4th Oct and diagnosed an over-sensitive voltage regulator (kept tripping out) . He did not have a replacement part on his van so said he would order it and return to complete the repair. Despite two calls to the "help desk" I am still waiting. Despite promises no one ever calls back to provide an update.
this is the worst app I have ever seen
this is the worst app I have ever seen. I cant make it work and i work with computers. don't BP know they can employ software engineers? I set it up to charge at night and it stars charging when i plug the car in. one star is to generous.

Cant seem to change my unit info on the app after my BP Pulse unit was faulty and had to be replaced. 24 hour customer service? emails just bounce back... request via website unanswered...
Great customer service, unit fixing service not so good
I want to give positive feedback about Jason Hampton, from their support team, who was faced with the unenviable task of trying to explain to me why two chargepoints had remained out of order for weeks without being repaired. He was polite, and it was clear to me that he wasn't the problem; he said he's send an email; what isn't clear to me is whether BPChargemaster are serious about keeping their chargepoints in central London in good repair; they're useless to us if they're sporting their red Out of Order lights, as the one closest to me has been doing for six weeks now...
Charge master= Easy money maker
Understand you charge people £15 for around 40kw, but you charged me £45 in three charging sessions for total of 20kw ,ridiculous amounts of money, you need to return to the me and other people , who regulates you , why you don’t play fair , appalling customer service, don’t see you well in future. Not using your chargers anymore and advise others to avoid you.
Slow to update kws used on home unit
If you want to view your home data usage you have to pay £50.00 for a 3yr subscription. The data is very slow and it runs 5days behind eg, I open chargevision log in and today is the 26/11/21 and I can only see the kws I've used up to the 20th November. It's a terrible service if you need it. It was very quick at the start but 3years on they tell me the use a 2g SIM in unit that's why it's slow. I wouldn't recommend chargemaster, go to someone else who can give you up to date data useage

Bp chargemaster is a rip off they takeyour money for chargung yhe car and a £15 holding fee which they say that they will return in 30days. I have been waiting 3months. The staff are incompetent it seems like they've hired a bunch of untrained people whole can't put sentences together so you never get anywhere when speaking to them. I have repeated myself non stop with them and after having multiple arguments they stop answering my calls and are still holding my money. Their manager apparently is a man named Simon who is also aware of this and has not done anything about it. They are robbing me of my money and i now have to go through my bank to get this money back. DON'T USE THEM
BP holding my money to use charge point.
Used BP charging point twice at the start of September, pay as you go, and they blocked £60 total before charging for the amount used from my credit card. I’ve emailed twice for £60 block, which is actually a charge and not a block back onto my card.
I’ve told them I’ll have to contact my credit card for a refund. No replies.
I phoned them as the emails don’t work, they said they received the emails but no explanation as to why they ignored them. I got a case number and was told they would respond in a week. It’s been 10 days no response, no refund.
It’s a total rip off, don’t use these charge points on your credit card, pay-as-you-go as they will hold your pre authorisation. It’s been 7 weeks now.
By writing a review here I hope I get a response as it’s poor from a company like BP.

Tried to use two polar chargers
Tried to use two polar chargers. Neither work with my bp pulse card. Trying to call customer service futile. A really awful charging network and a massive reason I won’t be switching to an electric car any time soon
Appalling Service
Bought my electric car in December and still waiting for BP Charge master to install our Home charger. 7 months of jumping hoops and resending documents and nobody coming back to you !
What a terrible company!
This is the worst company I have ever come across! We decided to get our first electric car around the beginning of this year & took delivery 1st June '21. I put the first application in to Chargemaster 21st April 21 & had a confirmation email which said they'd be in touch - they weren't. I chased it up 18th May, they said they had no record of that application & we had to start a new one which we did that day. Once again they said they would be in touch. Nothing. I have chased several times to be told someone would ring me back or that it would be escalated to a manager & they'd call me the following day - still nothing. Today was the final straw I held for 15 minutes to get through, I explained the situation she read the notes & hung up! It has now been 7 weeks since the second application & 11 weeks since the first. I would not waste your time on this company and just find another! How is this company still going!
Avoid BP Chargemaster
“I have had a major issue with the charger failing to operate during overnight hours. The App is set to 1.15-6.15am. The charger ignores this!
Beware, if you want to use cheap rate electricity perhaps look elsewhere. BP have had this issue "in hand" since March of this year when my new electric car arrived. Their resolution to date has been silence, ignoring emails for weeks, such a long wait time on calls in to customer service, that you give up after 60 minutes plus on hold!
The only thing they have been able to suggest during the time is that we fit a manual old-fashioned timer to the charge unit!
The App they provide does not seem to cut the charge off when it should, with instant charge on cable connection to the car being how it works.
So far this has cost me several hundred pounds extra in day time charge rates, instead of significantly cheaper overnight rates.
BP simply cannot be bothered.
In hindsight I should have paid for a decent charging company with an after sales team that cares, rather than accept the "free" BP option that came with my car.
Unfortunately there is no option to put Zero Stars in the review”
