The clock is beautiful, and I was very excited to hang it in my home. But, it is very difficult to see the time. The hands are filigree, and they disappear with the busy background. The numerals light up in the dark, which is pretty, but the hands completely disappear as the face of the clock has no light. Very poor design! We painted the hands black, hoping that it would improve the visibility. No luck. We finally replaced the hands with solid black hands and now, finally, I can see the time.
