well i was pretty excited when i purchased the product but i thought it would have been a higher Quilty then what it was. i thought it could use thin metal rods on all four sides to help tighten and square off the shade from the top to the base of the lamp. but it still looks good in my mancave

The lamp was bought as a gift. Right out of the box I noticed that the wood on the underside of the base was cracked. However, it was not determinantal to putting the lamp together, but for $170 dollars I expected more quality. I left it up to the person who received the gift if we were going to send it back or not. They decided that since the crack did not show they would keep it. They loved the gift! It is a nice lamp. It's bright and colorful. It came with two light bulbs which were nice. It was easy to put together and move once it was. I am thinking of purchasing another one, but hesitant too because of the base incident. All in all, it is a nice addition to a room where you just need a little light and don't want to turn on the overhead room light.
