Absolutely beautiful pendant and the necklace is sturdy. The length is perfect and falls right below my collar dip. I purchased two USMC sword pendants with necklace, one for me and one for my daughter in honor of my son. He is not able to attend my graduation ceremony on May 21st (I earned my Bachelor's Degree) and my daughter's high school graduation ceremony on June 1st. She will be off to college in August so the necklace and pendant will be like having my son/her brother here and close to our hearts when we cross that stage. He wanted to be with us but the timing does not work out for him to travel. We showed him the pendant and he loves it. He is sad that he will not be with us physically but is happy that we have something of special meaning that we will have when we celebrate those two days.
