I was charged fees for this site that showed up on my PayPal. I thought I just approved the 99 cent charge. I never approved the 24.99 a month charge. I complained to trust pilot about the charges and the company actually followed up with me and refunded the charges. They were very professional and courteous about the whole incident.

Didn’t like the surprise payment at the end. While it was only less than $1, the link I clicked on said the test was free, well the results are not. But I give 4 stars because this was simple to get the results.

Absolute scam, the career test is a joke!
I wanted to share my experience with BrainManager so others can be aware before signing up.
I originally used the website to do a career test for my son. The site asked for a small payment to access the results, which I paid believing it was a one-off fee. Unfortunately, I later discovered that this had actually signed me up to a monthly subscription.
The career test results I received were so bad, I wish had never paid the £1.95 for. For example: Top 10 jobs that fitted my sons profile, the first 3 were listed twice therefor only suggesting 7 top jobs which as you can see listed below are really quite odd results considering my some likes music, art and fashion!
1. Painting, Coating, and Decorating Workers
2. Septic Tank Servicers and Sewer Pipe Cleaners
3. Plasterers and Stucco Masons
4. Agricultural Equipment Operators
5. Meat, Poultry, and Fish Cutters and Trimmers.
6. Roustabouts, Oil and Gas
7. Floor Sanders and Finishers
I did not receive any clear reminder that the trial had ended or that I would be moved onto a recurring monthly payment. Because of this, charges continued for several months without my knowledge and came to around £140 in total before I realised what was happening.
When I contacted customer support they cancelled the subscription and refunded two months of payments, which I appreciate, but the majority of the charges were not refunded. I also attempted to dispute the payments with my credit card provider, but the earliest charges were outside the 120-day dispute window.
In my experience, the subscription element was not clearly communicated and I did not receive any reminder emails that would have alerted me to cancel. I also did not continue using the platform after the initial test.
I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this service reads the terms carefully and checks whether a subscription is attached before making payment.
