Trainee’s quality is laughably bad. There seems no standard for trainers. When it comes to class management, no one can be below them. The trainer is clearly inexperienced, and it revealed when they c... See more

I applied for an internship and got a training offered instead which gave me doubts about this company. It looked to me like they were using endless amounts of job positions on LinkedIn to sell trainings to job seekers. After writing a 1-star review on Trustpilot they contacted me to explain their business model in details which I really appreciate.
I updated the review, it's still based on first contact only but I will give them the benefit of the doubt because the trainings and internships might be good.

I was in the search for a data analytics role and I saw their ad on LinkedIn. I reached out and I got an interview and I got an introduction letter, let me highlight some problems with those:
The interview was conducted by someone who didn't really like their job, which is fine for the regular joe but maybe not for a "hiring manager".
The offer letter asked me to PAY THEM several hundreds of Euro just to get the education they deemed necessary for me.
They also send the same message to everyone if not all applicants, namely:
"Hi *NAME*,
We appreciate your interest in Brainnest and the time you've invested in applying for the Data Analysis Internship. Regrettably, this time we've decided to move forward with another candidate. We do believe you would be a valuable addition to our company, and we'll keep you in mind for other positions.
However, I also have some positive news! We're currently recruiting for our Data Analysis Industry Training Program, and I think you might like it!
This four-week industry training program has been designed for people who would like to start their career in Data Analysis, but more experienced candidates are welcome as well. Our training program has similar tasks and responsibilities as the internship but is enriched with lectures given by Data Analysis Professionals. Through this approach, our trainees gain a broad range of relevant industry knowledge and business skills. Also, the best participants will have the opportunity to be selected for a permanent (remote or on-site in Bremen) position at Brainnest. What's even better, the program is hosted fully remotely!"
And you pay several hundreds of Euros for it.
This company probably just wants you to enroll in courses for an exorbitant amount of money.
Edit: Oh yes, and they flag reviews like this one. Hopefully Trustpilot sees their bad practices and allow the truth to come out.
Edit 2: Their HR-manager emailed me to delete the review so I rewrote some parts of it. But the fact that the "HR-manager" reaches out to individual reviewers on a website and asks them to delete their review speaks loads about their practices in other domains.

Sleazy marketing 101
How to market our courses?
1) Post an internship position
2) Have people apply to it
3) Reject them all
4) Send them an email saying GOOD NEWS, we have a course that will teach you EXACTLY what you would've learned in the internship position for the low low price of 149 Euros
5) Rinse and repeat

Super helpful
Every staff member I dealt with made me feel at ease. I had a messy situation that they turned into a good one for me. I am now happy and am now applying for a mortgage. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Unethical training program promotion
When they reject you from an internship position, they promote their training program which comes with a 139 euro fee. There is no mention of any training program in the internship job description. In my opinion, this is an unethical practice that preys on desperate job seekers.
