I just wasted 30 minutes on a test that was falsely advertised as "free"! Yes, I could take the test without charge, but after completing it and providing my information, I was hit with a paywall to access my results. This is extremely misleading and frustrating! The big, bold letters claiming it’s a “free test” are incredibly deceptive.
Before I knew it I was stuck with a subscription
They are scammers; after completing the test, they suddenly ask for money. Curious as I was, I still wanted to see the results. This could be done through three different methods: credit card, PayPal, or text message. The text message cost only €3, compared to €10 via credit card. However, after sending the SMS, I was stuck with a monthly subscription of €3, even though the site stated it would be a one-time fee. This matter is far from over.
Waste of time (and if you decide to pay also of money)
They are - like everyone here has already stated - very unclear about the fact that after finishing the test you'll have to pay for the resulst. Unfortunately I believe the people will come here after they finished it, not prior, and seeying how fat these reviews date back the "company" isn't planning on changing their strategy either. So not only have I wasted time on the test, but probably by writing this review aswell :')
Sorry the meaning of "Test IQ" is u do…
Sorry the meaning of "Test IQ" is u do some test and then u got the result.
The meaning of Free Test IQ is u do some test then get result all for free. If payment needed it's not for free, i think this website need tes iq also before put free tes IQ for the title
Totally wasted my time with this
Totally wasted my time with this. And yes, I am aware that it says that a detailed report can be bought but what I did not expect is that I don't even see a number or nothing. The thing I see is "You are above average" I still know nothing. With a detailed report I would expect details about the questions and stuff not the actual IQ result??? Why not show something like an in between 110-120 i don't know... But just that sentence IS an actual scam. Because "Above average" could be between 100 and 150. That's a big margin. (I am sorry for my english I am not a native english speaker)
ps: Just for the heck of it I tried to pay for the details; non of the payment methods even work. Seriously, just don't waste your time.
It is no scam, it clearly says that it costs.
Some claims that the test hides that it cost to get the exact score. It is clearly stated on the page but it will take some IQ to read before you start.
"This IQ test is free. At the end of the test, you will get a free qualitative estimation of your IQ. You will also be offered the opportunity to pay to receive your detailed results."
SCAM / FRAUDE !
SCAM / FRAUDE !. Not free test, at the end you have to pay to view scores. (pt_br) Fraude! Você tem que pagar para desbloquear seu resultado.
Yeah, probably made by Indians LOL
I took the test and smelt something fishy. Then I searched the google and found this.
Scam
As pointed out by other reviewers, this website is a scam. There is no indication until you have completed the test that the results will cost £8, and there's even a timer to manipulate you into making a rushed decision to waste your money.
This is a scam
This is a scam! They just want your money and info (name and email address)
Fraud / scam. Says free test but have to pay to view scores.
Says the test is free, but asks for payment at the end of a long test to display scores.
This site also keeps changing names, maybe because of such bad reviews. Was previously known as iq-test.com and iq-research.info and now brainstats.com
Won't be surprised if they change it again soon.
This is a huge scamming website.
Don't waste your time. In this end they will ask you to pay 12$. Pretty sure this website is created by Indians.
absolute fraud website
absolute fraud website. please don't pay a penny to get the scores. Only MENSA in UK is the recognized test conductor in the world
At the end they ask you to pay 9,95 Eur…
At the end they ask you to pay 9,95 Eur to see the result. The only info I got for free was: above average (of my Country?), but I guess everyone will get this result.
Than they try to push you to pay ...
Don't waste your time!
Waste of your time
Waste of your time. If you decide to pay € 9,95 for your "detailed results" because you failed checking any reviews beforehand, they should write 'moron' in your test results and you would deserve it. All joking aside, this is clearly a scam. Don't even bother.
Swines, they just want your money.
Swines, I wish I read the reviews first.
Scam!
Yes, you have to pay to know your results; before that they only tell you "above avarage" to lure you into what comes. And then the so called "detailed result report" is totally worthless, since (1) time isn't taken into account and (2) you're not told the correct answers. In my case the "measured" IQ was about 50 points above what it should have been, probably because I was doing the test really slowly. Or maybe they're just drawing random numbers. One cannot know.
These people are criminals, if you ask me.
They say free but its not. Also extract you name age and email. A scam.
They say free but its not. A scam
