I was excited to find more than one same-day appointment slot at this location. I arrived early, but upon arrival was told I would need to leave the car because they were in fact backed up without available appointment slots.
After four hours, Mike called quoting me nearly $600 for brake pads on my 2024 Hyundai Tucson. I was told that this price did not include rotors, which were going to be resurfaced. In four hours they hadn’t put a tool on the rotors to determine whether they would need to be replaced or not.
It was pretty clear they didn’t want my business and this was a petty and spiteful way to treat a customer willing to leave their car with you for four hours. I called back to tell them that I’d spent $40 in Uber rides to NOT do business with them that today and I’d be picking up my car.
The shop manager Louie called back to give me another price. It was $250 less than the original estimate; he expressed that he "wanted to make it right." When I brought the car back, Mike wouldn't honor the price Louie offered.
Mike and Louie are the reason I took the car to a different shop today and gave them $900 to do the front and rear brakes plus the rotors.
