I hired a one person scaffolding tower
I hired a one person scaffolding tower. On arrival the driver demonstrated how to put it together and offered to help to fully construct it. Great service. They deliver and collect when arranged. The tower itself was light and easy to build. Parts although light had great strength and when you put the stabilizers out it was very sturdy even at full height.

Unsafe tool
Unsafe, unprofessional. Impatient staff asked someone else to take over because he needed to pick his mum up from the train station, his colleague ignored him, so he had to finish the paper work and forgot to send confirmation email. My husband used the core drill but it slipped before he was in place and that broke his finger, after spending the day at A&E, we returned the drill on Monday and raised a safety concern, no one called back, after I called them 3 times, Brandon’s told us that the drill is in perfect condition and we are inexperienced users. On top of that, no one even processed the tool rental, they just left the whole deposit amount on my credit card bill until I called again! Disaster in every step!

Poor communication, timekeeping awful
No indication of delivery time given, had a phone call 5 mins before I received an emailed timeslot that was not the same in any case. Received notification of a collection timeslot, that slipped without further notification and I could only see that by accessing the tracking link. Overall poor communication. I paid a damage fee, given the state of what was supplied I need not have bothered. I raised a complaint, still no response.

Helpful delivery drivers and the log splitter was delivered on time. It was collected a bit later than planned which was good for me, and no extra charge was made. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the online booking system but when I called the depot they were helpful.

Chipper would not chip
I reported that the chipper would not chip. I immediately reported the machine to customer service. No options were offered to change it or service it. We had checked on our web site and the manufacturers and we had doe everything correctly and we were using the correct material to go through the machine. The knives were blunt. We were charged in full !!!

Not sure they know what to do with administration.
I have been using plant hire equipment for over 40 years during my career as a builder but now since my retirement not so much but I still know how it should work. It appears to me that Brandon hire station really doesn’t cater for the general public and they treat them poorly. For me my experience wasn’t good I hired a piece of equipment for one day only but they changed me for one week. Steer clear if you’re a diy person or retired.
