Very good machine. Robust. Easy to operate. Adjustable height. Strong blades and engine. Needed multiple passes, but did the job. However, of course the machine generates mountains of moss. The narrow opening of the collector bag means it clogs very quickly and before it is full. So I couldn’t use it, and had to collect the moss using my lawnmower and rake.
Did a great job, just what we needed
Great machine, but shed a hollow tine during operation.
The scarifier we hired was very tired, it really needed new tines/blades. It didn't scarify well regardless of the height setting and it didn't collect any of the debris so we had to rake it all up by hand. Very time consuming and hard work.

Delivered with empty petrol tank and faulty throttle. No response from helpline. I have used this machine before and know it is usually a fantastic scarifier

Good solid piece of kit. It's not driven, so you'll get a good workout using it - I wouldn't recommend it for someone who's not reasonably strong or in good condition. The collection basket doesn't fit very well and I ended up having to do a lot of raking up of bits afterwards. It did the job very well though, and took a huge amount of moss and dead grass out of my lawn. It's noisy but not deafening, earphones are a good idea.
