Failed by vet DANA BROADBENT
If you use Bray House Vets please don't have your animal seen by DANA BROADBENT.
Dana failed to carry out diagnostic blood tests that were needed for my cat, she instead insisted on urine tests and then failed to spot a mild infection in that urine test sending me a text message that all was well.
My next visit unfortunately I had to see Dana again, this visit she said she could do nothing and my only option was to put her to sleep or just to take her home, she went on to tell me that the kindest and quickest way to put her down is by injecting her kidney - it is not! This method is a last resort I later found out when I had a second opinion from a professional look over everything.
After several minute's passed and my cat is still breathing Dana said the injection into the kidney hadn't worked and this was down to kidney failure (my cat didnt have kidney failure, she later changed this when her boss questioned her to severe dehydration, which is also a lie as my cat wasn't dehydrated and had been eating and drinking well) Dana said she now had to inject her heart to make it stop.
The whole experience was horrendous and not how you should ever say goodbye to your loved companion, Dana has no empathy.
Things didn't add up to me, mentioning kidney failure when a urine test 4 days previous showed no problems with kidney function, so I asked for my cats medical history and got a second opinion from a feline veterinary professional.
The medical history showed what Dana said to me in the examination room and what she typed up in the medical notes were two very different things.
I wrote an email of complaint to the practice who assured me they would investigate, there investigation was simply asking Dana what happened who clearly lied about the events because the practice's explanation actually threw more questions up for me, Bray house admits mistakes were made and that moving forward the team had been instructed about following tests up so things would change, but then contradict that admission saying Dana did nothing wrong, they then offered me £50 to buy a remembrance gift but to accept this "gift" I had to sign a a form which would prevent me from going further with my complaint or making people aware of what has happened.
The practice never rang to speak to me even though I made it clear I'd like to talk in person and gave them an alternative number to contact me on, instead they hid behind emails and finished up with the offer of hush money and said that my complaint had gone as far as it could with them.
My own investigation into Dana Broadbent I was told she was sacked from a previous practice for failing to carry out diagnostic tests recommended by a senior vet, this resulted in the dog dying, my own experience with my cat very sadly suggests history has repeated itself.
Had I have known this information previously Dana Broadbent would never have been trusted with the care of my cat.
If your animal is under her care or has been in the past, ask for your animals medical history to read, if you have any concerns then raise them with Bray House and if needs be go above them, the more people highlight Dana’s lack of care and negligence the more chance there is of stopping more unnecessary deaths of our beloved fur family.
I don't want anyone to go though what I and my cat did which is why I write this.
Dana is the professional, I trusted her with the care of my cat which she failed to do and then lies to cover up her failings.
