Moldy unrefrigerated breads…
We ordered kaiser rolls and seeded rolls. Sitting down to breakfast day after Thanksgiving we discovered a large green mold on the seeded roll hitherto unnoticed.

Very poor customer service. You can't bring up anything that has gone wrong with your order without being berated and blocked. It's unacceptable.
Opened the box and my bread was infested with ants. I contacted customer service (I know accidents happened) and told them how my bread was delivered with ants inside the bread packaging --- customer service wrote me this rude response:
Thank you for the photos.
It is your responsibility to quickly retrieve the package, before animals infest it. The only plausible way for ants to infest your package is at your house, while the package sits idle near plants and soil. It is not plausible for you to assume that UPS or ourselves are the source of ants.
Therefore, this infestation will certainly happen again, unless you pick up the package quickly once it's delivered.
Problems that occur after delivery are not our responsibility. They are yours. That said, we are willing to resend the package at no cost, as a voluntary courtesy, provided you commit to prompt retrieval upon delivery.
Customer service was completely rude and tried to blame me for their poor packaging --- claiming the only plausible way it got ants was from my house sitting idle.
For the most part, their products were decent enough but their customer service?
Well, that is a different story!
When my wife made the honest mistake of contacting them with a simple and innocuous comment, the reply she received was curt and arrogant
“if you don’t like our products, don’t buy them” was all they wrote
There was no “we’re sorry that…” or “we apologize for…”
It was so unexpected that it really took her aback and almost made her cry in shock
Needless to say, we will NOT be using Bread Village again and we suggest that you don’t either unless, that is, you wish to be treated with unbridled contempt by a nasty company that does not care one iota for their customers
In these post pandemic days, where we should all be treating each other with a little more kindness and dignity, most online companies deserve your business but…
Bread Village certainly doesn’t!
I agree with user below. Can't find a negative review anywhere and they seem very insulated from reviews. Every company has some negative reviews. I posted on their FB page (the below) and was blocked immediately. I just wanted what I ordered.
Decent bread but worst customer service experience I have ever had. I didn't get what I ordered, was told I did. No way to get anyone else but the no name person who emailed me to 'take it somewhere else' after I told them my experience was horrific. I just asked for what I ordered but they weren't hearing of that.
They do not allow any critical reviews and accuse the customer of being wrong - see the dates that most of the reviews are posted, many on the same day or a day apart and ALL glowing reviews - so I'm sure they are all honest and real.
Their Stolen is made with Palm fat, Dextrose, Canola Oil (Rapeseed Oil that is highly processed and very bad for your arteries), Glucose Syrup and the ever present "natural" flavors. Just junk.
Read the labels as many items have added ingredients that you would and SHOULD not find in traditional breads and sweets.
