The white brick slip pointing mortar is cement-based and suitable for mortar gun or grout bag application .
It is suitable for use internally or externally, around a log burner or in a bathroom too.
The white mortar is a 25kg bag labelled 'Chalk', and will cover around 3-3.5m² , assuming a bond with full tiles only, with 10mm joints, and our 22mm thick brick slips. If you are using the contemporary collection, it will cover 4.5m² as they are only 14mm thick.
You'll need between 3.5 and 4.5 litres of water to mix a full bag to the right consistency.
The bag will cover around 3m² of flemish bond and around 2.5m² of English bond.
Please note: the mortar will be darker on application until the mortar dries fully.

Did the job well!
I obviously expected this pointing mortar to be white but it turned out to be a pinky cream. It doesn't look like the photograph of the fireplace and chimney breast with blend 10 in your promotion photos. Disappointed.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for the feedback. That chimney breast is pointed flush as opposed to how you've done it (recessed) so it will look different. As for the pink, this isn't possible from the actual mixture itself as there's nothing of that hue involved in the production process, it could be something from the installation such as tools or buckets? You can make it more white with a whitewash of white masonry paint and water if you'd like to.
