Can't commit on the products purchased yet as not opened and built but the service we received from the young staff at Varilhes/Pamier store on Friday 16 May was excellent. Jonny in particular was great, helped carry heavy goods to the car and loaded them for us. Also really lovely checkout young lady, so polite and friendly. Assisted with our poor French so we got all the correct stuff! Purchased 2 wardrobes, 2 garden loungers and a number of smaller items.

I purchased a Titan lawnmower at the Brico Depot store in Troyes on 27th April for €399. I took it home and used it to cut my grass. It did not work satisfactorily for me. It struggled to work at all on its mulching setting, and when on level 2 of its 7 height settings the wheels no longer propelled it forwards, they just turned in the air. This did not meet my needs for a lawnmower, and was not fit for the purpose of cutting my lawn.
I took it back and asked them for a refund as the lawnmower is not fit for the purpose of cutting my grass. They refused, saying that just because I found the product unsatisfactory, this was no reason to refund the purchase! They said I had used the lawnmower so could not bring it back. I asked them how else could I assess its performance without using it to cut my lawn? They refused to discuss a refund and told me to go away. Clearly they are not interested in my dissatisfaction with the lawnmower, my loyalty to their store or resolving the problem. This is despite their parent company Castorama having a 365 day no quibble refund policy emblazoned on their website.
So, be warned: don't trust what they say on their websites, and don't buy anything that you might need to take back.

Used the Crevllente, Click and collect . I hoped click & collect would eliminate the risk and cost of missed deliveries. I liked the added convenience that click & collect offers instead of waiting at home I can go to this store and wait...and wait.....and wait. It is supposed to be easy and convenient. In the words of Elton, its a sad sad situation and its getting more absurd. 25 minute wait for the goods to become available, not allowed to leave store until a piece of paper was signed (another five minutes) .....Unbelievably poor organisation...awful experience

bought a shower. The glass doors were bent. Contacted SAV by email 5 TIMES and received an acknowledgement each time - but no response from them. They do not respond to SAV requests

Ordered some pipes to stop damage caused by water. After 8 days it was not delivered. Made numerous phone calls but they never answered. Wrote several email. After long delay someone wrote back and said they have no record of payment. I sent the payment confirmation and no one replied. You cannot trust this business.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience at Brico Dépôt. Their customer service is abysmal; the staff is incredibly rude and seems to go out of their way to deceive customers. It's evident that they have no respect for their customers. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time and money there.

Very bad experience. The manager si totally unable to manage the return and the complain of a customer. Never ever !

I went to Brico Depot in Perigieux to buy a cordless strimmer. In French I asked at least five members of staff for guidance and was either ignored, kept waiting or shrugged off. I left without buying anything. I mentioned this to other female friends who all said they had the same experience.

Be very careful when buying a shower cabin here. We were told that the one on display was no longer available and it's replacement was the same only grey glass instead of brown. This was not the case as the alternative could only be fitted to a right hand corner not a left hand corner and some of the components broke on fitting and one of the shelves did not fit at all. The quality of the roof is very poor with rough cut edges and overall the panels do not line up with the pre drilled holes. Additionally the instructions consisted of a few pages of diagrammes, poorly labelled and unhelpful. I'm just grateful that my husband has an engineering background. Very disappointed with this product from Brico.

Never use this company!! Their staff is abusive , violent, absolute thugs!! Their products are cheap for a reason, they are total rubbish. It is impossible to make complaints due to their evasive websites. They should be shut down!!

Went to exchange a product (water heater large) whilst waiting for service another customer tried to squeeze past in the narrow entrance and knock the heater over cracking a cover. The assistant arrived with a security guard unwrapped the product saw the damage refused to exchange and walked away without helping to repack.

I thought if the product you ordered wasn't right for you and it was returned then a refund should be given. Not with this company, they refused to give a refund saying it had been sent to the wrong address, it was the only address on the packaging. I would never order from this company again, they are completely dishonest, so apart from losing money on the product we also had to pay postage.

Never order from this company, still waiting 6 months later for order of biodegradable grass, pretty sure I have wasted £60!

Bought grass seed matting . Wrong product delivered. No way of contacting this company.AVOID buying from this company if you dont want to loose your money. Wish I had read the other comments before placing my order. £50 I wont see again

Took my 76 year old friend to buy 15 SQM of tiles 4 bags of 25 kilo glue plus 25 kilo bag of grout ! Asked for help, left waiting for 15 minutes! Went again to look for said help found him laughing and joking with 6 work mates basically told to find someone else to help in sanitary area !!! Not happy at this point ! Found a good guy who did help but then left me to push a trolley( after asking him for help ) said he had too many clients!! Me (52 years of age 58 kilos and my friend 76 years of age) pushed the trolley which now weights 350 kilos to the cashier !! Managed half way had to shout at the staff in a kiosk 7 of them for some help !! Not one but a young guy I have no idea if he worked for Brico as he was dressed in grey ?? But did help . We had been told to ask the cashier for someone to help load my van so we did !! Waited 30 minutes !At this point I can't be bothered so loaded my van myself!! Last bag of glue loaded on my van the second guy who did help came out saying sorry he was over run with work !! Too
many staff standing around doing nothing but having a fun day watching old people stressing !! WHY HAVE so many staff who do nothing at all but chat and make customers feel like intruders ! Morlaix has much better and helpful staff so disgusted with St Brieuc you need to sort it out bad management!!
