Awful service

Whilst working in the area fitting a videowall I need some batons to pack off the wall. I went to Bridge Timber to get 8 x1m batons and 4 x 2.2m batons cut from 4"x2" timber. I was told they could cut be would only cut in 300mm increments, so I could only have 1.2m and 2.4m. To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement, I thought it was an early April fool, but no the lad was adamant this was company policy, at that point I left and went and got the timber from elsewhere, where they were very helpful and cut the timber no problem at all and also had some other bits I needed and they got nearly £100 off me

Hello. Firstly apologies for late response but we have been having some log in problems with Trustpilot, which have only just been resolved.
With regard to your issue of a cutting service, you requested a number of pieces of timber cut to specific sizes - we do not offer this service and after checking several other similar businesses in our locale, they don't offer this service either! We did, however, find one who offered a cutting service, but only when purchasing a full length of each piece. In general, customers do not have to purchase full lengths of timber and we do offer cutting to fit into a vehicle. Our business is to supply builders and the DIY market - you will note our signage indicates DiY (do-it-yourself). We do however have an exception to this, such as elderly or disabled people.
