While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Awful spammer that I never subscribed to

Similar experience to others. Three days ago I received a "Welcome to BrightTALK" message, followed by a "Thank you for registering" message, claiming that I registered for one of their channels. The next day I got two spam messages, then four the day after that, and two more already today. I've never heard of them, never seen their site, and certainly never registered for anything on their site. They give no straight-forward way to unsubscribe from everything. The link for "email preferences" asks you to sign in with your email address and password, but since I never signed up to begin with, I don't have a password. This is just a despicable practice.

INSANE amount of spam

I signed up for a 3rd party hosting on a topic of relevance that required me to use brighttalk. After signing up I received approximately 15mails within 4 days. I unsubscribed after the first 4 irrelevant invitations arriving within hours of me signing up. Even with their unsubscription page stating up to 72-hours I am still receiving mails 14 days after and my only option is to block them completely.

Too Much SPAM

The platform is good, and there is some good content, but there is so much SPAM. Multiple emails a day, and many repeats. Every-time you sign up for a webinar your contact information is given to whatever company is hosting the webinar, then they start spamming you and cold calling you.

Flawed understanding of GDPR

Flawed understanding of GDPR. I strongly advise that no one registers with this service.

Any contact details shared with BrightTALK are shared/sold(?) to customers. As a result I am getting cold-called.

Definition of a bad company.

Dont understand GDPR, sign you up for an account without you realising, make it hard for you to delete your account and then spam you with email until you can workout how to delete the account.
