KC86 smart watch, a 5 star product

A 5 star product. I brought the KC86 SMART WATCH earlier this year. This is an excellent watch and I particularly like the sleep monitoring feature which helps me immensely as I have sleep issues! The watch also allows the uploading of your own photos to design your own personalised watch face, a great feature! All in all a fantastic watch, and knocks spots off my previous watch which was a Fitbit....

Im confused

Im confused. The company is called British Technology, but clearly the watch is made in China.
I can't seem to get yge voice assistant to work. Just a countdown of 5, 4, 3 2,1 then nothing, even when I try to speak to it.
Also, its not clear if one can get additional apps for the watch. If so where from.
Lastly they say there is 24/7 contact details.
No 24 hr phone number or e mail . Nothing.
However, if all my questions can be answered, The watch does feel pretty good, & I love the screen size.
So, how do I contact someone at tge company.?

Customer support:

Really impressed with this watch it does everything my old expensive watch did and more; especially with it’s battery life. My old watch barely lasted a day. However, I needed a second charger and it is model specific. I made a comment on the facebook page and support replied almost immediatly. That warrants a 5 star review in my book.

Loving my new watch from British Technology. Slim. Sleek. Accurate records, and easy to operate. Charge lasted a week, much better than my old bulky Samsung one. And I love the cat watch face!!!

Excellent product and after sales

I bought one of these smartwatches a few months ago, it was great, it replaced my Fitbit, many times better, after a few months it developed an issue whereby the display would not work when the side button was pressed, although it was still working with my watch, I contacted customer services who asked me to send a video to them, I did and they replaced my watch immediately, this is great customer service, I am back striding out my steps, keeping an eye on my blood pressure, answering my phone and checking all my social notifications on my little smartwatch, a brilliant little watch and brilliant customer services. Well done

Caveat emptor

A further edit to add to the mix (4th March '26). British Technology has read the one star review that I originally left them and decided to offer me a fifty percent refund on condition that I remove that review! Well, if that's not proof of dodgy dealings I don't know what is. So now I've revised my upgraded three star review back down to one. A side message to Trustpilot is in order methinks.
What decent company will try to bribe you with a partial refund if you withdraw an honest review?? Not happening 'British' Technology!

This review is an edit of the one star review I left earlier today. Can it be coincidence that suddenly I've had responses to my questions?
My experience hasn't been great but the corner may have just been turned.
Firstly, British Technology isn't manufacturing or producing these watches in the UK. They're made in China and imported into Norway from where they're distributed. If you want to return your watch, this is where you need to post them to so make your mind up fairy promptly as you only have 14 days in which to get the watch sent back.
Anyway, when mine arrived I was surprised to see it wasn't branded and queried this with British Technology because the instructions are written in such poor English that it was obvious they're made in China - it even says so on the watch. Then the QR code that's supposed to take you to the app didn't work and I got a security warning on my screen.
At this point, I contacted British Technology again and got nothing but crickets for two days - hence my pretty ruthless review on here earlier today. Hey Presto, suddenly I've been sent the name of a new app to download which did work and was available through the play store. But it's owned by a company called Mo Young . Hmm.
Oh well, my watch is now working but whether I trust all my data is safe I'm not sure. Would I buy again? No. I don't fully trust British Technology as they're not the manufacturer that they would have you believe and there are identical watches available elsewhere on the web.
Caveat emptor is very much the rule here.

Reply from British Technology

Hello Lindsay,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and update your review. We always welcome feedback because it allows us to clarify information and ensure that future customers have an accurate understanding of how our company operates.

However, we would like to address several statements in your review that unfortunately do not reflect the reality of the situation.

First, regarding the QR code and the application. The QR code included in the manual links directly to the correct app used by customers of this watch model. We have not received reports from other customers experiencing issues with it. In your case, once our support team received your message, they provided the correct application name so it could be downloaded directly from the Play Store. After that, the watch began working normally. The application name is also listed in the manual.

Secondly, regarding our customer service. When reviewing the communication history, our support team responded and assisted you with the setup of the watch, which ultimately resolved the issue. Helping customers get their product working correctly is exactly the purpose of our support team, and we are pleased that the problem was solved.

Regarding the manual, we would also like to clarify that the instructions are written in clear English and reviewed before being provided to customers. Thousands of customers currently use the same manual without any difficulty.

It is also important to clarify the point about manufacturing. From the design stage to production and the final delivery process, the development of our products is managed by us and supervised by our engineering team, who are proudly British. While modern electronics manufacturing often involves international production facilities, every stage of development, quality control, and product supervision remains under our control. We are also proud that our company provides employment opportunities for many people in the UK and continues to grow as a British technology brand.

Finally, we would like to clarify the situation regarding the partial refund. It was not offered as any form of “bribe.” It was offered because several statements in the review did not reflect the actual situation or the service provided. Our intention was to resolve the misunderstanding in a fair and transparent way.

We always support honest feedback and never require customers to remove truthful reviews. Transparency and trust with our customers are extremely important to us.

We are glad that your watch is now working correctly, and if you ever need assistance in the future, our support team will always be here to help.

I purchased the Ultra Smartwatch about 12 months ago

I purchased the Ultra Smartwatch about a year ago. I have been absolutely thrilled with it and it has made my life so much simpler even though I am not "IT savy"! Its was super easy and user friendly to get up and activated with my Samsung Z4 Android.
On a recent trip from SA to UK I lost my smartwatch charger. To say I was gutted is an understatement. However British Technology have come to my rescue. Upon my enquiry their response was immediate and very favorable. They are replacing me with a new charger at no cost to myself!
That to me is excellent service.
They have been efficient, courteous and very professional.
I will certainly once again be purchasing from them in the near future and I will absolutely have no hesitation and will happily refer them to any and all prospective clients thinking of purchasing any of their products.
Do yourself a favour and check out their products. They are very competitive and reasonably priced
Lastly, a personal thank you to British Technology for your excellent service. In today's modern world it is greatly appreciated

Recently purchased a KC86 smartwatch…

Recently purchased a KC86 Explorer smartwatch from this business. Very happy with the watch, does everything it claims to do. Even came with a spare black strap and screen protector disc. You need good eyes to be able to read the instructions and they are not particularly comprehensive but the watch is easy enough to figure out. Excellent communication with the DaFit app you download to your phone for more information on the info stored on the watch. Battery life is brilliant, I've been playing with it for a week and it's still on 60%.Loads of different watch faces to choose from. Excellent communication with the folk at British Technology if you need to ask anything. It is sent from China but don't let that put you off, even some of the best known are made there and the delivery time is pretty quick.

Smartwatch purchase July 2024

I purchased a Smartwatch in July 2024, 18 months ago, am delighted with the watch, however sadly I lost the charger in January 2026.
I contacted British Technology and asked how I could obtain a replacement (I was happy to pay) and they have kindly offered to send a replacement charger free of charge. Great communication, and fabulous customer service. Very happy. Highly recommend British Technology!!

Style & Functionality at a Competitive Price

I received my Invictus-X watch as a Xmas gift and can honestly say that it has been a god send. Stylish and with good battery life, it is great for keeping track of distances walked and with useful tools like a compass and heart beat/blood pressure monitors, I never leave home without it. All told, a well designed product, with all the functionality and looks of its better known competitors, but at a fraction of the price and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Apparently there e mail system was down and an e mail stating this fact had not been sent Delighted with the outcome
