Yes today I did indeed receive a call…

Yes today I did indeed receive a call from British Gas, however this call was made by non management complaints handler and by her responses she was not only out of her depth in answering my questions, she was not a decision maker.
So after asking to speak to a complaints 'MANAGER' I get what sounded like a teenager contacting me to resolve the situation.
Amateurish is a term I would use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only that but when I told her that I would not being anything until the complaint was resolved, which would be normal protocol - she went on to threaten me with legal action by sending a debt collection agency to my house to recoup the balance.
Now on top pf everything else I am now having a gun put to my head unless I paid up.

Hope you are proud of yourselves British Gas

Although they never gave a good Service…

Although they never gave a good Service and we found a replacement engineer they never stop badgering us to start another contract with them. Despite the very poor service provided, their engineers alter settings without asking and treat us as though we are simple.

Again another company needing zero…

Again another company needing zero stars, I remember my grandfather always telling me British gas is the way to go for business ( we had a rock factory lots of gas used), he even had a business account at his home!
I'm finding now British gas plus (which is a different business to British gas) are trying to ruin my mew business. Feel like giving up just because of them!

Should be zero stars

Should be zero stars. When will British Gas Customer Service get their act together. I have logged several complaints, been through the details countless times and now I am being asked to contact and repeat details for yet another time on X or Facebook. Not sure how to do that.
what a rubbish service, why do we bother dealing with them.

I recently paid over £4'000 for a new…
I recently paid over £4'000 for a new boiler and emertion tank with British gas, as the weather got warm a fault started to show its self.
A loud humming!
Unfortunately the fitter did not fit an automatic bypass valve at the time of the installation, which is required for this type of system, to stop the circulating pump overheating and making a loud humming.
Two engineers called on different occasions,
The first said I need to take the thermostat off the hallway radiator and let the wall stat control it by turning of the heating in the whole house, I did not think this was a good idea, and he said he would get some advice, he never got back to me.
The second engineer to call (who we waited in all day for then 70 minutes before his time window ran out cancelled), next day he called, first thing he did without asking was plug hes PC into my power supply, then informed me I should move the thermostat to the front room and take off the thermostat on the radiator, I pointed out this room get very hot from the sun, he said move it to another room.
This system is guaranteed for 2 years the main reason I went with British gas.
At the moment it is not fit for purpose and has a fault they are unwilling to fix.
I text the engineer after he left with this text and looks like it got blocked for doing so.
" Hi it's Graham from 110.
A quick look on the internet shows me, an automatic bypass valve is required, this is installed just after the pump outlet and to the return, please arrange a time to fit this.
Many thanks Graham "
Looks likes my text was blocked for this.
Charming way to treat customers.

Update I'm please to say the first engineer called back and will call out with his supervisor/line manager, help with this issue.

update
Update on British gas, a supervisor came and looked and agreed a auto bypass valve was needed and a engineer would call to fit it.
========================================
A engineer called and fitted a gate valve. sigh
I'm a 70 year old looks like I will need to sort this out myself.
This is the total nonsense of British gas.
I phoned the supervisor he said they fitted a gate valve because the auto valves can leak, what a fp.

Frustrated beyond belief

Frustrated beyond belief, given the anxiety many of us face with rising energy costs and i can't even submit meter readings for dual fuel to gauge our rising price increase in a single parent household which will allow me to budget. Customer service is zero for a full-time working person who has limited access during peak office hours. I am a loyal customer of British gas but have simply lost the faith. Compare the market is my next move as online access fails in all areas and a simple task of speaking to customer service is simply not an option !
