Alhamdulillah, it was an amazing Umrah experience. Salim and Imran were incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the entire journey. They handled all the logistics smoothly and were quick to assist with even the small requests. They were always responsive to any questions we had. They also took us to climb Jabal Noor and showed us the best places to buy thobes and abayas. I would 100% recommend BMT — the group I travelled with was kind, friendly, and made the whole trip even better.

Alhamdullah I had an amazing trip with BMT

Going umrah for the first time was made so easy with British Muslim Tours. We did not have to think about anything as everything is organised beforehand allowing everything to be smooth. Salim in particular is so helpful he helped us without us even asking for help and he was so easy to approach and communicate with. He is so knowledgeable on what you will experience there and so he will make you feel prepared and confident in any situation. I would definitely recommend as it makes things so much easier which lets you focus on your umrah and prayers.

Salim kindly organised a Hajj and Umrah trip for my family and I at 3 weeks notice which was an incredible experience for us.
He was very helpful and guided us personally through the experiences and included a number of tours.

I got back today from a 7-day Budget Umrah trip with BMT, and overall, it was an incredible experience. The trip was well-organised from start to finish, with clear communication and helpful guidance throughout.


Pre-Trip Communication & Support:

•Regular updates before departure, covering logistics and expectations.

•A two-hour Skype session before the trip that walked us through Umrah, what to bring, and even tips on eSIMs and excursions.

•We were introduced to Salim (main organiser) and Ali (public relations), which made us feel well-supported.


Arrival & First Impressions:

•Ali was waiting for us at the airport as planned, which was reassuring. His friendly, approachable personality instantly made us feel welcome.

• He personally helped my teenage sons (who were performing Umrah for the first time) put in their ihraams and guided them, which they really appreciated.


Some Confusion at Jeddah Airport:

• Although we had eSIMs installed, they weren’t activated until we reached Saudi Arabia, making it difficult to communicate ( we chose to purchase our own esims and not from BMT so this may have be the reason why.)

•The instructions on where to find the BMT coach were unclear, and we were overwhelmed by taxi drivers offering rides to Makkah- (we couldn't access the BMT WhatsApp group we were part of due to not being able to connect to WIFI)

•Tip for BMT: Provide clear, step-by-step guidance before departure on where to find the BMT coach in Jeddah.



Journey to Makkah & Hotel Stay:

•The journey was smooth, and refreshments were provided on the coach, which was a nice touch.

•The hotel was great for a 3-star stay—clean, comfortable, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Haram.



Communication Issues on the Coach:

•The microphone was muffled, making it difficult to understand announcements.

• Tip for BMT: Use a better mic system or simply project the voice louder without one.



Critical Concern – Lost Child Incident:
(I fully acknowledge that this is my responsibility and am not shifting any blame onto BMT.)
• One of my sons got lost twice—for three hours one day and five hours the next. It was extremely stressful as he had no phone and didn’t know the hotel name.
• Tip for BMT: (We were new to this experience and had never performed umrah previously- we didnt realise how overwhelmingly busy it would be)

Provide lanyards with emergency contacts & hotel details for all travellers as soon a see get to Makkah. This is essential for safety until the planned tracking system is in place.


Excursions & Group Time Management:

• The excursions were fantastic—we visited historical sites, date markets, and museums we wouldn’t have explored on our own.
• Salim is an excellent speaker—his knowledge and wisdom truly enhanced the experience.

• Waiting time for group members sometimes delayed us by 30 minutes to an hour.

• Tip for BMT: Set a 15-minute cut-off time for excursions to avoid unnecessary delays.



Overall: Despite a tiny few areas for improvement, this was an unforgettable Umrah trip. Ali and Salim were fantastic-patient, kind, and always positive. My kids absolutely adored Ali, and we all found him so approachable. He made the experience what it was due to his amazing personality and his willingness to go above and beyond for each and every one of us. He even arranged a bowling night with some of the guys in the group at the request of one of my sons—he really didn’t have to do that, as we were all so exhausted and sleep-deprived, but he still did. We truly appreciated the effort put into making the trip smooth and spiritually rewarding.


We would absolutely love to travel with BMT again! Just a few small tweaks would make their service even better.

It was an amazing experience. We had fun and they were very informative with the process of UMRAH. Whatever inquiries we had both Ali and Salim responded straight away.

I had the privilege of going for Umrah with BMT in January 2023, accompanied by my mum, a close friend, and her mum. I’ll admit, at first, I was skeptical about BMT’s legitimacy—it almost seemed too good to be true given the price! 😂

However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our guides, Salim and Ali, were incredibly helpful, courteous, and easily accessible throughout the trip. They went above and beyond to assist everyone, especially the elderly in our group. Their patience and kindness made a huge difference, and our parents were very pleased with the experience.

One aspect I truly appreciated was their flexibility. While we sought guidance for our first Umrah, we also wanted the freedom to explore by ourselves. The itinerary was not rigid, and participation in activities wasn’t mandatory. This allowed us to opt out when we needed to, with our guides always ready to provide directions or advice on accessing shops, specific locations, or services. Their efforts to help us find culturally familiar food for our parents, who were struggling a bit, was particularly thoughtful.

Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience with BMT. The combination of affordability, flexibility, and excellent guidance made it an unforgettable journey. If I ever need a quick, budget-friendly trip again, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose BMT.

Wallahi what an amazing experience I took my mother and my brother in 2023, and all I can say is wow Ali and saleem, were amazing they helped a lot with everything, I loved that fact they made us feel like family by taking us out on meal, they took us to some Bengali restaurant to introduce us to their cultural foods, if we went to them with a problem they sorted it out straight away, the tours and activities was just spot on everything was just well planned, honestly would definitely recommend because I'm surely going back sometime inshallah

I travelled with BMT twice: once last year with my husband and this year with my whole family (grandparents included). It was a wonderful experience both times. BMT stands out from other travel companies with their amazing customer service and attention to detail. When we travelled last year, my husband and I were upgraded to a Haram view room and we had engraved personalised prayer mats waiting for us upon arrival. This year we had the most wonderful hotel, again with masjid al-Haram views, booked for us, cars arranged in advance, check in was all sorted out by BMT staff. It was amazing to just sit back and enjoy our umrah whilst someone else dealt with all the logistics! (Transport, transfers, flights, hotels, food places, shopping places, ziyarah tours). I can honestly say that I wouldn’t ever think of going for Umrah with anyone but BMT.

I have now travelled twice for Umrah with BMT and both times were an amazing experience. The tour operator went above and beyond to make our spiritual journey easy going and enjoyable. They were well informed, communication was great and very professional. The gifts from the company upon hotel arrival for us all were unexpected and such a kind thought. The excursions with a knowledgeable teacher were great and worth going on. The team went out of their way to make both of my trips memorable. The whole experience overall with BMT has made me want to travel with this company for all future trips. I am already planning my next Umrah trip with them and looking forward to it.
