Many appreciate the excellent pastry and the wide variety of choices, including a good selection of gluten-free options. Bought Wild Beaver Pie ( beef steak and ale) at Fillongley show. The lady showing us the options was excellent and very informative about the products.
The pie was absolutely delicious. Lightest pastry, tender filling loaded with meat and gravy.
We’ve just bickered over the remaining little bit!
Will be looking out for more and definitely recommend.

Customer service needs to get its act together

We looked through the locations they had provided and we drove all the way to Fillongley show, on Sunday 10th August where we were informed we had to provide a printed version of the voucher we had received to redeem against the lack of venison and red wine in the previously purchased pie! As we were standing in a field for this show, there was no way to obtain a printed version.
This imperative information had not been included within the email they had sent to me. The lady on the stall asked for my email address and then confirmed she had been informed that a voucher had been issued. She then requested to look at my phone and expanded the attached voucher as large as possible on my phone, and in tiny writing at the very bottom of the voucher it stated a printed version was needed.
I enquired if the voucher barcode on my phone could be scanned but I was informed the bar codes are unable to be scanned, therefore if you cannot scan a barcode from an emailed voucher, neither can you scan it from a printed copy! Such an archaic system!
We had no choice but to drive all the way home, to print the said voucher, to drive all the way back to the show to pick up the pies!
If this is the terms and conditions of using the voucher, not only should this have been included this in the email but it should be written in bold on the voucher by the barcode and not in tiny writing at the very bottom of the voucher!!
Such poor customer service, have you stopped to think about those that do not possess a printer!
Brockleby’s pies customer service really need to get their act together!!

Brockleby's pies are delicious.

Brockleby's pies are delicious, the pastry just melts in your mouth. There is lots to choose from. They are delivered on a day that suits you, they are well packed and I have never had a damaged one.

Delivered on the chosen date

Delivered on the chosen date. The pies are very tasty and full of meat or fish. The summer isle salmon pie was great. Have recommended to my son who has already placed his first order.

Lovely pie and really buttery pastry

Lovely pie and really buttery pastry. However.. this cost £11 which is almost double premium supermarket equivalents. I love supporting local businesses but this is expensive considering there wasn’t that much meat in the pie.

I gave 1 star for excellent delivery

I gave 1 star for excellent delivery, but very disappointed in the pies. Just had a lamb pie, thought we would crack our teeth on the pastry, very hard. The bottom of the pie stuck to the bottom of the foil tray so had to get the pie out in pieces, not much filling at all. We then has an apple pie, again very hard pastry. Both cooked from frozen following details on the box. What have I done to get this awful pastry ?

Good morning Angela, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment and wonder if you had intentionally purchased gluten free products? You may or may not be aware that gluten free pastry is of a very different consistency to that which perhaps you were expecting? Please do let us know by emailing us at info@brocklebys.co.uk. With kind regards Louise

Pies like they used to be.

I come from a family of bakers and confectioners. The two pies that we have tried taste as good as those that they made at my nannas bakery in Liverpool. We tasted and then relished and devoured on separate occasions the cheese and onion and steak and kidney( we used to call them Kate and Sydney after my dad and my aunty) . So good to have decent pies. Cheers keep up the good work.

Delicious

Delicious but the recyclable packing which needs posting is impossible as I'm housebound. Can't you simply use brown paper or anything that can be recycled at home.
