I got this for my Brompton, but am using it more off the Brompton now because I like how it can keep its shape and stay upright even when I have things in it. For my prior laptop bag, I’d have to lean it up against something. Other reviews talk about a lack of organisation inside - I’ve found this not to be the case, there’s plenty of pockets, pen holders (keep looking!) zipped pockets and places to store items. It comes with a waterproof high visibility cover, too which I hadn’t spotted in the product listing

It's perfect for commuting to the office. I read a review that said it had limited space. Not sure what they were trying to carry but it fits a laptop, notebook, glasses, keys, headphones and has plenty of space. I love all the little pockets and inside zips. Unlike other Brompton bags you can then carry as a normal bag. Five star product, genuinely.

The design cannot have been thought about, let alone tested. It is a slender sleeve whose zip only opens along one edge; therefore it cannot cannot accommodate anything of note. If you were to slip several small things inside, it cannot then be opened up to find them again. It is literally black on the inside. Despite minimal capacity (perhaps a laptop and a book) it is of extremely heavy construction; with inordinately weighty fabric. An immense burden when weighed against my Borough roll-top bag. In a word, unusable.

I recently bought the Brompton Metro City Bag, and I am genuinely delighted with it. It is a fantastic bag: beautifully made, thoughtfully designed, and exactly the quality I have come to expect from Brompton. I have owned a Brompton since 2006, and it remains one of the most exceptional pieces of machinery I have ever bought. The accessories are just as impressive. My original large Brompton bag, which I have had for around 19 years, is literally still in perfect condition. It has been strong, reliable, beautifully made, and has never let me down. The Metro City Bag feels like it is made from the same high-quality material and to the same standard, which gives me a lot of confidence that it will last for many years too. The layout of the bag is excellent. The compartments are really well thought out. At the front, there is a zipped section with three useful pockets. One has a key clip, which is brilliant because you can quickly open the zip and get to your keys without rummaging around. The other two pockets are great for small items like a wallet, cables, or other essentials. They are deeper than they first appear, which makes them genuinely useful. Inside the main compartment, there is plenty of space. There is a larger section suitable for an iPad or documents, smaller compartments to keep things organised, and a mesh zipped pocket at the bottom, which is ideal for cables and accessories. The laptop compartment is spacious and has a waterproof zip, which is a really nice touch. At the moment, I am using the bag to carry a waterproof jacket, a feather-and-down fleece/puffer jacket, my keys, wallet, phone, and other bits and pieces, and it handles everything comfortably. The front flap also has a zipped pocket, which I use for accessories such as the Brompton rain cover and the detachable shoulder strap. The hand straps are lovely to hold, and the bag feels smart and comfortable to carry. I also really like that the front mount can be removed, so when you are not using it on the bike, it simply looks and behaves like a very stylish laptop bag. The design is subtle and smart. The Brompton logo is understated, so unless someone knows Brompton, it just looks like a high-quality laptop or work bag. It is a perfect size for commuting: big enough for a laptop, phone, keys, wallet, documents, iPad, coats, waterproofs, and everyday essentials, but still compact and elegant. Another brilliant feature is the luggage sleeve on the back, which lets you secure the bag to the handle of carry-on luggage. That makes it even more practical for travel. I also love the small zipped pocket on the back/right-hand side for a phone. I was worried it might be awkward to use while cycling, but it works really well and is easy to access. Even the small details are useful, such as the two little pen holders at the top of the bag. I actually keep a small screwdriver in one of mine, which is very handy. Overall, this is a beautifully designed and exceptionally well-made bag. It feels strong, practical, smart, and very Brompton. If it lasts anything like my previous Brompton bag, it could easily see me through many years of commuting. I bought it on sale for around £40, which makes it incredible value. I am very happy with it. A fantastic piece of kit. Highly recommended.

Never received the product. Ordered for pickup, then it was delivered via UPS to home address (unsuccessfully, unsurprisingly), then went back to sender. Will purchase in store in the future.
Good for the transport of your Office-Needs. But: a bit drag in appearance, and a shoulder patch on the strap would be better.
