Wrong mount supplied, doesn’t fit Mk II ‘P’ Line Brompton – waiting to return item for replacement. Brompton staff very helpful.

I have a few Quad Lock mounts. I bought this one to put on my new C Line 12 speed. It’s a good mount, however I’ve had a small issue with it that I’ve never experienced before with Quad Locks. Whilst riding I went over a bump and one screw head fell off. On inspection the screw had snapped in two. It was a very cold morning. Other than that I’m at a loss to explain the occurrence.

I love using mine with an iPhone 13, BUT I would recommend checking the size of your phone before buying! I would like more clearance between the phone and the handlebars so I could increase the vertical angle of the phone when riding. As it is, it works, but if my phone was ANY bigger it would not work at all, there would not be enough room to attach the phone to the mount.

It's not so safe. The connection of device and mount is strong and good, as long the conection is really, really correct. Unfortunately the connection is easily not aligned correctly. If that's the case your phone stays on the mount only to the next bump in the road. You pick it up from the road after that. If you can find it and if it is still working. The quad-lock phone cases are quite strong though. Due to the malfunctioning mount my phone crashed about ten times with speeds of up to 20 mph. Plus, there is a limit to the size of the phone. With M or H-type-handlebars an iPhone Max with the quadlock-case is already too big. I had a peak design mount, which was a bliss to use. With that, the folding was impaired, though. That's why I gave this mount a try, but I'm not too happy.

Having a Quad Lock specialist variant for the Brompton is indeed useful if you are into the Quad Lock ecosystem with other vehicles. Do pay attention to the instructions in installing it on the mid- or high-rise handlebars, you have to get the angle right in order to twist the phone on. It is a good, trusty, and solid mount! I hope that Brompton can get the accessories page made available on the Swiss Brompton site. I had to jump through hoops to get it sent to neighbouring France - the French page has accessories, why not us?!?

I really enjoy having a speedometer on my bike. This works well with my iPhone 12 max Pro phone. My other bikes are Cannondale’s and I use that app to track my rides and it even gives me the speed of my ride.

Really good and secure, looks smart as well. Only thing is you need to Have the right phone case for it so not compatible if someone wants to borrow the bike from you. Having said that Google maps is so rubbish at bike directions that I hardly need to use it
