Does the job, just feels that it’s overpriced, although I have no idea what production costs would be, so that’s perhaps not fair. However, I do think an option should be offered at the point of sale, as the taller rider is forced to an additional purchase if the standard set post won’t work for them.

This is lighter then the standard steel seatpost so a great option if you use your Brompton as much as I do and can afford it.

Hi Ross,
The extended carbon seatpost would protrude about 6 cm from the seatpost when the bike is fully folded. it is 6 cm longer than a standard seatpost.
I have posted below a list of the seatposts we currently offer and the recommended inside leg measurement which is suitable for each seatpost:
- The standard seatpost is 535mm in length and fits a rider with an inside leg measurement of 84 cm maximum
- The extended seatpost is 595mm in length and fits a rider of an inside leg measurement of 90 cm maximum.
- The telescopic seatpost fits a rider with an inside leg measurement of upto 99cm
