i beleave this to be a scam ive tryed contacting them they never pick up phone or answer my emails

Been ring them for 4 weeks and no answers off them and they not rang me and been 12 weeks

Scum company who steal your money! They are now in liquidation! ( April 2024)

At 1st they updated me on my claim but now I haven't heard nothing not a single thing I have rang up so many times no answer I have even lifted a voice mail still no answer and I even sent them emails no reply at all I think this is absolutely disgusting this is not good for the company at all ignoring ppl

Tax refund through Brooksdale over 6 months ago. Tax office informed it has been released to Brooksdale.
2 emails which have been ignored and countless unanswered phones to them later l have not received my refund.

Brooksdale were contracted by myself to retrieve PPI tax that I had overpaid from HMRC.
To date I am currently £1800 out of pocket due to HMRC telling me that, that is what I owe then - from information given by Brooksdale to them

I am awaiting a payment of a refund sent by HMRC to Brooksdale Limited August/September 2023. I only know this as I have been reviewing my account at HMRC and being a Chartered Accountant I always like to try and keep on top of things. Unfortunately I have had long spell in hospital and seriously unwell. I have heard absolutely nothing from Brooksdale Limited and I am disgusted that they would have received a cheque in the last quarter of 2023 and have as yet not notified me of the refund, In fact I would have expected by now to have received the sum refunded by HMRC to this company.
1. Why no communication.
2. I trust the monies are held in a client account and you are not earning interest on these monies and the sum in question has not moved out of the client account after being lodged intact?

It goes without saying that I shall be taking this matter a lot further (FCA) and have also consulted with HMRC who at this stage confirm the monies were in fact sent to Brooksdale Limited and will check on the authority they have on file.

Do not use they have gone into Solvency. Google them. It states that lots of people are going to be out of pocket !!!!

HMrC paid money to Brooksdale. I have tried to call and email but no response so concerned whether I’ll actually get the money.

Update sent a recorded delivery letter and they have refused to sign for it.

Very worried now that I may not see my money.

Scammed me on hmrc rebate never paid me stay well clear

My wife recently received an email from this company telling her she has plus £3000 tax refund due. This is the second time this company has informed her of this the last being 2021. She never received her money then, I doubt she will this time.
At no point has my wife given permission for Brooksdale to act on her behalf. They are a company who prey on people who have made claims through Ppi etc. Their fees are extortionate. When you try to contact them they fob you off with excuses.
I am now at the point where I am going to contact the financial ombudsman, this company need stopping.

I have been waiting for my claim for 6 months. I was told HMRC had sent it to yourselves months ago and that it could take up to 3months and I'm still waiting. There's over three years worth of claims there and I'm a single mother so the money would be benificial to me especially over this holiday period. Each time I've phoned I can't get hold of anyone.

I was phoned from Brookdale by a man called Harold Evans, saying that he had found £5500 from investing. I was very weary (and stupid) as he wanted to take control of my phone and record it bu using an app called anydesk. Now i did invest some money maybe a year ago with another company but closed the account within the 14 days cooling off period and got my money back. Anyway Harold Evans moved money in my account from savings and current till it was all in one account and opened 3 or 4 investing accounts. He said he'd send £300 first which was the exact same amount had in my own bank account. He said because its crypto currency he had to open these other accounts which with convert it to £ then he could send it, Looking back I he opened 3 or 4 because the apps?accounts werent doing it. He said after he had sent the £300 he'd send the £5500 I was on the phone with him for long periods of time, in total he called me 107 times in 3 days. 44 of them were when I was on the phone to santander because my account got suspended. I am really pleased with santander because they noticed someone trying to take £5500 and suspeneded account immediately the £300 had already gone. HAROLD EVANS told me to ring the bank and tell them im just trying to send £300 its all legit its just to a friend. In fact I had a whole sheet of lies to tell Santander. Of course told the bank the truth and he sorted things out for me froze card sending out another etc. He said this is a very popular scam. But this guy rang 44 times whilst i was on phone to the bank for half an hour. I answered to him after bank and he went mad demanding me to open any desk. I refused 50 times and wanted him to explain why he needs to control my phone ans he just kept aying its ok dear just do what i say. I told him if he had any money there for me to send it in a cheque. Which he laughed at with his collegues. He said hes not giving me any money back now cos I wont let him control my phone not even the £300 hed taken from my account. He kept ringing and ringing it was non stop. I answered one last time and he told me "dear you are very poor you only have £300 have you got food you need this money so you are a c*** and i troll you with my d***" and plenty more worse than this. My husband died 2 weeks ago this is something i dont need he very clearly told me that your husband is better off dead having a wife like you. you are horrible person you need to die so your children can have a better family than you. what are you going to do go begging to the goverment for money saying i need money i cannot feed my children or clothe them Ill have to start sucking d***. Now im having to get in touch with all the investment companies which are in my emails cos he was opening them in my name and close the accounts, which is hard work itself. Filling in form after form. Hes still been calling today on good friday. Anyway police have been informed. its been the worse week of my life after husband 2 weeks ago and i have all hie affairs to deal with. HAROLD EVANS dont forget that name

Still waiting for my refund.
The HMRC sent Brooksdale my refund on 04 December 2023 but I still have not received a payment.
I keep getting told they receive lots of payments and will take time.
It’s a scam! And I found I can do it myself for free.
I have logged complaint with the team at Brooksdale and also notified the HMRC as this is theft,

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am fed up of receiving e-mails from them, saying that I am owed a rebate - firstly it is about tax paid on PPI claims - this was all sorted over 10 years ago. Then I am told that I can claim a refund for allowances relating to COVID, your employment and marital status. They tell me that they worked on my behalf for the PPI claims, but I know they didn’t. And having looked them up on Companies House, I wouldn’t trust them with a barge pole. They can’t even file their own business accounts in time, so why would I trust them with mine. This is 100% a scam.

This is the worsted company. They are scammed. Received people tax rebate and they refuse to pay. Trying to contact them not picking send them email no response. Worst company so far

Spent days calling them to get nowhere...1 year later still waiting for them to call me back on 2 tax rebates..voice mail is always full... reading reviews about them with 5 stars....what a load off crap.... crap service...dont even deserve 1 star review 👎👎👎👎👎👎

This company successfully secured a refund for me from inland revenue. I was happy with their service.
However since then they have plagued me with nuisance emails. I wrote twice to ask them to stop but they ignored me. The unsubscribe button does not work.
This company is a real nuisance.
So to future users of this company be warned how they treat their customers.

It’s a scam company! They took my tax rebates without my permission!they forged my signature and sent HMRC a fake document that I was supposed to have signed! I’ve reported them to the action fraud, they need to be stopped!!!!

I cannot understand why Brooksdale changed halfway through me submitting finance car dealership miselling to The Claims Guys are they the same company i find this misleading

I have tried on numerous occasion to Unsubscribe from this company unsuccessfully, I have emailed them telling them to remove me from their database without success, just keep getting spam from them. Very annoying.
