Amazing!!

I can’t recommend Brook Street Motors highly enough. What initially started as a repair for a wet belt unfortunately turned into something much bigger when it became clear that our car also needed a new gearbox. Situations like that can be stressful, but the team at Brook Street Motors were absolutely incredible from start to finish.

They went above and beyond to get the job done properly, even driving miles to source the right gearbox for our car to make sure everything was done to the highest standard. Their dedication to doing the job right rather than taking shortcuts really stood out.

Throughout the whole process they were patient, honest, and kept us informed, which made a huge difference. It’s rare to find a garage that genuinely cares about its customers and the quality of their work the way they do.

A special thank you to Mick and Tasha, who were both fantastic and made the entire experience so much easier. Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work really didn’t go unnoticed.

If you’re looking for a garage you can truly trust, Brook Street Motors are brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Extremely disappointing experience and…

Extremely disappointing experience and very poor communication.
This garage carried out a timing chain replacement on my Vauxhall. After the work was completed, the car developed a persistent oil leak and later suffered from reduced engine power. They kept my car for around three weeks, repeatedly telling me it would be ready the next day, which never happened.

I had to return the car multiple times. During this process, I was told by the garage that several other Vauxhalls had experienced the same issues following timing chain repairs, including oil leaks and reduced engine performance. While the reduced power issue was eventually addressed, the oil leak was never properly fixed and is still present.
Since then, communication has been extremely poor. I have called several times to arrange a check or follow-up, and on each occasion I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did.
I have since approached other garages, but they have refused to work on the car, stating that the fault is clearly linked to the original repair and should be rectified by the garage that carried out the work.
Overall, there has been no accountability, no communication, and an unresolved problem caused by their repair. I would not recommend this garage.

A total waste of time

A total waste of time, poor customer service, his associate is a cowboy will f your car engine. Damage more than fix. Mick damaged my alloy and tyre upon drop off then denying to avoid forking out, but I did have cctv. He didn't admit to it when leaving car which isn't acceptable. He did eventually compensate me, but hasn't compensated for the works he did for timing chain still leaking oil. Car went in several times with zero fix and was left on street for weeks. Careful where you people go. This guy booked me in a few times not to then be available pulling porkies and I don't live in Bury. So, Mick I've not asked to compensate on the timing chain works upto now. It will cost me £500 to repair the oil leak from timing covers. Compensate or I will be now going to court unfortunately. You've messed me around too much.
If you don't like old customers coming to you tell them but don't waste their time. If garages make errors they are supposed to fix and put it right and your garage isn't the only one having to compensate for errors, only you don't like to. Simple terms of business run/repair/compensate for errors is how garages work.

His own associate told me he has had so many returning back due to repairs not carried out professionally and promptly. True real facts here people.

He were ignoring my calls to not rectify the works he carried out leading to oil leaks. I left him a review he then decided to call right away begging me to take it off. So, when he’s in the wrong he’ll ignore you and block you. This is not how businesses operate and if they do they’re not fit for purpose.

I took my car to him because locals where I live won’t touch big jobs they like easy works which a lot of garages now do which is a shame. I put my trust in him but I feel he fobbed me off.

It’s not just your garage it’s any other place, any flaws/damage they have to put it right be it rectifying or compensating, only you don’t like to. You only then move on from it, mishaps occur but not denials.

You may see a response to my review from the owner but, sadly it wouldn't be the real truth.
