No instructions supplied with kit. Patrick tried hard to help (thanks!) but it seems they forward the issues to the Chinese manufacturer.
In the kit were screws and plastic widgets that have no explaination as to what they do.
Took abut 30 hours of trial and error (millions of software settings) before i got it working.
Ive got 30+ years experience with electronics so its not like i dont have knowledge in this area.

I ordered a head unit for my Ram 1500 quad cab with the optional cameras. The package arrived about a week later. I installed the main unit without any drama. However I required a fair bit of assistance from Kevin to get the cameras and sim card set-up. The assistance I received was very professional and timely usually within one hour. The unit is now working as expected and performs far better than the original factory set-up. I highly recommend this product and Brummstadt

Had trouble with my reverse camera and steering wheel but Tommy was fully able to help me set it up. Fully recommended for the quick and professional customer service.

Great unit works perfectly. And the customer service was the best I have ever had. I emailed a problem getting the reverse camera to work and they sent easy directions nearly straight away to fix the problem. Would recommend to anyone.

Bought a head unit for my 19 Prado and the unit was as advertised. The trim and fitting is like factory and looks nice too!

Through my ownership of the head unit, I’ve had problems with the unit but after sales support is second to none.

Tommy is quick to reply and provided step by step troubleshooting advice which fixed all the issues!

Highly recommend these guys if you’re looking to upgrade your head unit to something nicer and with more functionality!

The support is good. However the product is not. I had to do multiples of troubleshooting and remediation. The issues would go away for a day or 2 and then return.
Zlink disconnects when using wireless android auto. It wont reconnect until you reset the device or remove all bluetooth pairing, sometimes one or the other works.
At the time of this review. I reset the device around 4 or 5 times.
I updated firmware.
When using the usb cable, the device connects fine, but then apps within android auto lag. Maps will be delayed. Spotify will sporadically play or stop playing. The sounds will stop or break up. Sometimes when connected, there is no sound for android auto services. Maps, youtube music or spotify also no call alerting comes through..
Even with an external mic, there is so much in car feedback when driving 110kph that the other caller cannot hear you properly.

When reporting this, I get asked for videos. Which I have, but there is an email limit for files, so sending a 325mb video of the issue is hard.

So I spent more time (wasted my time) and sent through videos and photos. I am now told I need to update the device. When I said I already did that, I was not believed because they never sent me instructions on how to do it. But I did update it. When it gets updated zlink goes away and I had to re-install the version that was shipped with the unit. Which I did.

I am on 5 October 2025 still being denied a full refund. If I send it back they can do a change of mind refund and I will incur a 20% restock fee.

I am now going to try ACCC.

I recently purchased and self installed a top of the range android head unit for my 2017 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. It is so superior in every way, it makes the factory head unit completely obsolete. It definitely works 100% as advertised.

Initially, the only problem I had was all the steering wheel controls were not working but I want to give special praise to Tommy and everyone else at Brummstadt Support Service for fixing the problem by sending me a new CANbus Decoder which finally got the problem fixed.

I will definitely come back and make another purchase again from Brummstadt when the time arrives to do so.

Good help from Patrick J and the support team. I replaced the head unit in my 2014 Mazda CX5 with the Brummstadt unit and needed some advice on configuring the unit to work with my Apple phone. It's all working, but I am still trying to get the switch from "native mode" to Apple CarPlay a little slicker.

Kevin was a great help in troubleshooting and fixing some issues I was having with my head unit. Great product and excellent customer service and support.

The technical support has been very punctual and thorough. The staff have been friendly and very supportive.

A bunch of glaring issues.
The angle of the screen means the reversing camera cannot be viewed due to glare on the screen. Definitely not designed for the 2016 Isuzu MU-X and probably the D-MAX as well.
Before the unit even arrived I received email asking for me to film an install video for $100. $1000 and maybe I'll help you out. I'm the customer needing install help here! unfortunately install assistance consisted of a post card size picture identifying the ports on the back of the unit. THAT WAS IT!
Most parts were not labelled making install complete guess work.
And despite being constantly warned to properly identify my make and model they sent me the wrong power harness. They did resend promptly and like other reviews the support guys were prompt and helpful even on a weekend.
But honestly I'd not buy from these guys. There are other sites that actually include detailed instructions (which I ultimately downloaded) for similar cost.

The item is not fit for purpose, does not fit my car. No wiring loom was included, just bare wires.
